"Shh, shh!" Nat covers Clint's mouth just as Steve enters the room.
Sam glances up then turns around to hide a smile.
Bucky doesn't move "Hey Steve."
"Hey, Buck. What's everyone up too?" He surveys the room suspiciously.
"Talking" Clint twirls a pen between his fingers.
"Well, don't let me interrupt" Steve moves toward the kitchen.
Sam, ever the talkative one, speaks up "We were wondering what you do with your pretty little self every time you 'go to lunch' "
"Excuse you?" Steve looks at him hard.
Bucky snorts "Smooth, Sam."
Sam turns on him "Then why don't you ask the questions, Wise Guy?"
Bucky gives him a sardonic smile "Okay. Steve, everyone really wants to know if you're seeing someone."
There's a collective groan from the room.
Steve makes a frustrated sound "I really cannot believe you guys."
"So?" Clint throws up his hands "Are you? You've been MIA nearly everyday this week."
The Captain's patience is frayed "I would really appreciate it if everyone stayed out of my love life."
He directs a look at Natasha and storms out of the room.
"He's hiding something " Natasha declares "I'm sure he met someone."
"You know, it might be too soon" Bucky points out.
"That whole situation is definitely unhealthy" Sam shakes his head "I mean-"
"Don't go there, Sam" Bucky warns "You're messing with something you can't change. Peggy meant a lot to him. That doesn't just go away."
Sam shrugs and picks up his glass.
There's a step in the hall and Tony materializes.
"So? How did it go?" He searches the faces of his friends.
Half a dozen eyes shoot daggers at him "Your ideas stink, Stark"
