I dropped my jaw. He did not just say that.
"What are you talking about?!" I screeched.
"We're not dating!" Baekhyun and I denied.
"Yeah yeah. You're just trying to make me feel better," Taehyung scoffed. "Maybe you shouldn't have rescued me. Maybe you should've just left me lying on the streets. Maybe you and Jimin should've never taken me to the hospital. Maybe I shouldn't have had high expectations. I thought you would object. No, you ran away. I thought you would spend time with me when I woke up in the hospital. No, you also ran away. And I follow you to find you hugging Baekhyun?!" Taehyung was crying and his voice was cracking.
"Taehyung, this is a misunderstanding!" I choked.
"Yeah, we aren't dating!" Baekhyun added.
"Don't ever talk to me again. Because I woke up for no reason. You're right. We're not in high school anymore. We are adults now. Maybe I should've listened to you. I shouldn't have come crawling back. Maybe I should've married Michelle," he scoffed and stomped away.
I clenched my fists weakly. "T-Taehyung..." I muttered ever so silently.
"It's okay, Haru," Baekhyun embraced me in a hug and I cried harder.
My vision was blurry, but I could see Taehyung's silhouette fade away."B-Baekhyun...what do I do now?" I whimpered.
"You'll heal. Promise me...everything will get better...I promise you..." He whispered.
TIME SKIP TO 6 MONTHS LATER
Taehyung still hasn't spoken a word to me. I wonder how he's doing. The boys tell me he isn't doing well. I was worried, honestly.
After that night, I went over to Baekhyun's house a lot. We caught up on a lot of things. I found out he was an idol with some other guys.
He and I decided that I would move in with him. I've been staying with him for about 3 months now.
"Haru-ah, can I talk to you?" Baekhyun called from the garden.
"Ne!"
I walked barefooted to the garden and saw Baekhyun smiling under the sunlight that shined ever so perfectly on him. He saw me and pat the spot next to him, gesturing me to sit down. I took a seat next to him.
"So what did you wanna tell me?" I chirped.
"Yah, Haru-ah. I really really really like you. I tried pushing the thought away because I know you love Taehyung. But, I can't hold it in anymore. I...I have to let you know. You don't have to accept my confession, I understand," Baekhyun hung his head low.
I started at him back my for a couple minutes.
"I do accept your confession," I whispered as I traced my fingers on his cheek. I slowly lifted his face up and I could see his red eyes and he was slowly smiling. He reached out his arms and pulled me into a tight, loving hug.
No sparks.
But...maybe he can make me forget. I could possibly grow feelings for him...maybe I should give him a chance.Time skip 1 year later
I still haven't heard from Taehyung, but I still hang out with the guys. I haven't even seen Taehyung. I became best friends with Chanyeol, one of Baekhyun's friends.
Baekhyun is taking me on a date, right now. We entered a nice and fancy restaurant. The lights were dim, since it was candle lit fine dining.
We sat down and from afar I saw Taehyung with a girl...a girl I've never seen before. Is this Deja Vu?
