Ester POV

“Gesh I didn’t know cleaning was a workout” Jason said lying on the counter of the island. He put his hands behind his head making his shirt raise up to expose lean sexy muscle.

“Like what you see” He said smirking as he caught me looking.

“No” I lied laughing.

We finally finished the kitchen and clean 10 different rooms and it’s just about 2 o’clock, every room we took everything out so there was nothing in it. We took all the bed, dresser and mattress and rugs and put them outside in piles.

I sat on the counter opposite of Jason and took my hair from my ponytail and redid it higher in a sloppy bun.

“Jason, it means so much to me for you to help me…it really means a lot” I said twirling my fingers and looking down.

“Hey it’s nothing, I’m happy I’m helping you, makes me look good to my parents too” He said propping himself up on one elbow looking at me.

“Hey why don’t I take you out to repay you, like I know there’s almost nothing to show you how much I appreciate you but I wanna take you to dinner, my treat” I said looking at him as he smiled back. 

“Uh I don’t know, let me think” He said looking up as if he was thinking and I shifted on the counter feeling a bit uncomfortable expecting him to saw know.

“Uh I’m sorry-“ He started.

“Oh no it’s fine, it was kinda sudden and-” I said blushing a bit.

“Ester”

“What” I said stopping my fast talking.

“I would love too” He said smiling and I reflected it with my own.

“Well Imma go take a shower and change and I’ll call you to come pick you up” I said hopping off the counter and he did the same.

“Oh, want me to come keep you company in the shower?” He said smirking, joking.

I smacked his arm and walked backwards to the door facing him, “Yeah! But I’m really a man just to warn you” I said joking.

“Oh well I’ll past “ He said laughing as a hint of amusement shinnied in his eyes, I laughed and walked out the door to my car.

I hopped out my car and jogged to Maximus pack house. I rang the door bell and waited eagerly for someone to answer the door so I could get my stuff.

I looked around at the beautiful trees and I looked to see that trees began to change colors from green to orange and red, fall was near. I rang the doorbell again, I really wanted to hurry and go out with Jason, like even if we never take this further than friendship, I wanted to become closer to him, because I am not really ready for a relationship. I rang the doorbell again for an irritated Maximus to open the door in only a towel. He had water dropping from his black hair which seemed to be longer and which fell in his eyes.

My core intently heated up and my wolf wanted one thing. Maximus.

“Um… hey I- I came to get- I mean I came to change- I need something from here” I finally got out and my eyes roamed over his body… his tone 8 pack…. His tone muscular arms…. His tone hips that formed a V down to…. Whoa whoa whoa okay focus.
