The last bell rung and I slide out my sit winking at Maximus who glared back, and I walked out the classroom.

Okay, these heels were starting to make my feet cry in pain so I slipped them off and slide my black Toms I had in my bag on.

“Ester, O.M.G. was that you singing in the classroom?” Eunice squealed, Eunice and Mia came running up to me.

“To Maximus?” Mia finished.

“How the hell did you guys find out” I said smiling.

“Text” Mia said rolling her eyes.

“Yeah it was me” I said laughing and they told me how funny it was and we stood and chatted until the hall started to clear out.

I glanced at the clock on the wall and cursed.

“I got to get to detention, love you guys, see you guys soon” I said hugging them and jogging off to the class where detention took place.

I ran in the class and glanced in the room to see only a girl sitting in the classroom with custom headphones on.

“Miss Hunter? You are aware that you are 10 minutes late, which automatically mean an additional detention?”

“Oh sorry” I murmured and walked to the back of the class next to the girl and took a sit.

I looked over at the girl and took in her appearance. She was really pretty with long brown hair and she seemed to be really tall. She was nodding her head and glanced over at me and her turquoise eyes locked with mine and she gave a warming smile.

She slide her headphone off her ears and extended her hand.

“Hi, I’m Jess” She whispered, I glanced at the teacher and the old man was falling asleep.

I took her hand and smiled, “Ester”

“Oh I know I heard you’re the girl with Maximus uh?” She asked

“How did-“

“Everybody knows everything the second it happens” She said rolling her pretty eyes.

“Oh” was I could say because Maximus came strolling in the room and just sat right down.

“You know that being late-“

“I know” He said cutting me off and sending me a glare.
