Chapter 15

Casey Remington’s P.O.V.

When I woke up from my unexpected nap I noticed Noah wasn’t next to me. The warm spot I had been huddling next to was now cold. I was almost instantly sad but then movement out of the corner of my eye caught my attention.

“What’s wrong Casey?” Wade popped up behind the couch nearly scaring the crap out of me. Damn that kid was fast; he was five now and proud of it. His intelligence was amazing for a five year old not mentioning that he was a seer.  Ever since his brothers were born he started getting these visions of the future, he doesn’t know when exactly they will happen but he knows that sometime in the near future. All wade could say was ‘The descendants of the first four will set us free.” any normal person would have been freaked out by now but c’mon have you seen my family? No one knew exactly what he meant; but if they did they were keeping it hush hush.

“Nothing sweetie, I’m just tired.” I smiled weakly at him.

Wade’s black spikey hair was in every direction; his football t-shirt and shorts were dirty. Ah, he was hiding from Abi, that woman was a clean freak. Wade hopped over the back of the couch landing beside me.

“You’re a horrible liar aunt case; you’re worried about the boys.” He knew way too much for a five year old.

“Boys?” what boys are he talking about?

He laughed and put his hand on my belly. “Your babies, their boys. Let me tell you one of them already acts way too much like Noah already.”

I instantly shrank back from him, wade telling me this gave me an off kilter feeling in the pit of my stomach.

“I can talk to them,” wade began, he shrugged and went on “one of my many gifts I guess; why can’t I be normal? I know, I know I have to help the family.”

The look on his face almost made me want to cry. How could a little boy feel like the whole world was on his shoulders?

“Because it is.” Both wade and I jumped from where we were sitting, I pushed him behind me; I have no idea why I did it just seemed right at the time. I looked back at the door way and Noah stood there looking amused. That ass. Why didn’t I sense him coming?

“You were too deep in thought Casey; you can let him move now.” Noah laughed and pointed to wade (Who at this time I had smashed between the back of the couch and me)

“Oh, I’m sorry wade!” the little boy giggled and scooted to the front of the couch.

“It’s  ok aunt case, I think uncle ark and I should talk to you about some things.” I raised my eyebrow at Noah; uncle ark?

“Did you get all of your animals?” The look on his face was priceless. Noah just shook his head while walking to the couch. He was mumbling something about ‘next time I see abi’. I had never seen him so flustered.

“Don’t even start” Wade rolled his eyes and moved over making room for his uncle to sit down. Noah sat on my left and Noah sat on my right, for some reason I felt like a child in trouble. Noah shifted in his seat so he could look at me, I felt wades hand slide up and grab mine. Awe…this little boy has only known me for a short few months and he was the most honest and caring person I knew. I hope that one of my boys would be like him.

“Aunti case?”

Looked to wade, he sat beside me looking so fragile but I knew this little boy was going to do some great things in his life I could help but feel hope inside of myself knowing that I was going to be apart of it.

“Yea?”

“Your boys are special, they are descendants of the original four. I already know they will be trouble makers…so be easy on them ok? There’s a reason they are going to be like that. Just love them with all of your heart and I know everything will be alright…”

My heart melted right there.
