"Read me another one." You ask Spencer, sleepily.
You and Spencer sat on the couch, while he reads you some of his favourite books.
"Really? It's getting pretty late. Er- early, actually." He says.
"What time is it?" You ask, sitting up and rubbing your eyes.
"2:00am."
"Oh."
"So, do you still want me to read another one to you?" He smiles at you.
You nod. "Yeah."
"Okay." He stood up and grabbed another book from the shelf. "How 'bout this one?"
"Sure."
Spencer sits back down on the couch beside you.
"This is one of my favourites." He says, and starts reading.
Spencer read over three quarters of the book when he looked over at you, only to see that you have fallen asleep laying on his shoulder. He didn't move your head. He liked it there, and he didn't want to wake you up.
"You know, closeness is a demonstration of affection toward one another."
You woke up, and looked at him. "What?" You say.
"It's not really a big deal or anything but, you've been resting your head on my shoulder for forty-seven minutes now."
You sit up. "Gosh, I'm sorry-"
"No! No, it's-its okay, really. I don't mind it at- at all."
"Really? Are you sure?"
"Yeah! I'm positive. You can keep your head there as long as you want. I-I really don't mind it."
"Thanks, Spence."
He smiles at you, then continues to read.
You lean your head back on his shoulder. Then, Spencer stopped reading and looked at you.
"What?" You ask him, giggling.
He shakes his head. "Nothing. I- I just can't help but notice how- how beautiful you are."
You smile at him at that comment.
He lean his head on top of yours and continues to read the book.
-------
In the morning, you woke up leaning on Spencer as he slept. You moved slowly as you tried to get out of bed to make some coffee.
Suddenly, Spencer wakes up too.
"Hey." He says in a tired, yet wide awake voice.
"Hi." You say back.
"Are you making coffee?" He gets up off the couch.
"Yeah. How much cream do you want?"
He doesn't answer right away. So you continue to make the coffee, not looking back.
"Spence?"
He comes up behind you and hugs you from behind.
You laugh a little. "Spence! How much cream? And how much sugar?"
"As much as you normally put in is fine." He lets go of you and comes to the side of you.
"Here." You say, handing him his coffee.
"Thanks." He says, taking the beverage from you.
"Hey Spence?" You ask, coming to sit on the couch with Spencer.
"Yeah?"
"Can you read to me?"
He smiles. "Of course I can read to you."
He just sits there though.
"Will you read to me?"
"Oh! Yeah of course!"
You laugh as the embarrassed Spencer gets up to grab a book.
This time, he picked one of your favourites.
As he begins to read, you lay your head down on his shoulder.
Spencer smiles, and starts reading the book.
