Alex POV

The band got to the stage about two hours before the show to do sound checks and what not. I came about an hour early just to hang out with them. When it was time to open the doors, I went backstage with some of the crew we'd come to really like. They were always so nice and obviously a huge help to the band.
"Thirty minutes till show people. Thirty minutes!" Someone yelled. The band had time so we all went to their dressing room. There was a couch in there so we all sat.
"So you guys excited to play here?" I asked. I knew the answer. We'd all watched countless shows here, so to be the ones on stage, with their names on the signs and in the papers, I knew how happy Tobin was.
"I'm so pumped, I can see the fucking ocean from here!" Kelley said.
"Yeah. This place, is so special. I I think tonight it'll become ever more special." Tobin out a hand in my knees and looked at me when she said this. I smiled at her a bit confused, not sure exactly what that meant.
"So what are you guys thinking of playing tonight?" I asked.
"Some old stuff, these are gunna be people who knew us when we first came out. I was also thinking we play one of the first songs we ever wrote." Tobin said.
"Oh which one?"
"Revolution Radio?" She asked. All their jaws dropped.
"Oh I totally forgot about that song, and I loved it! Hell yeah!" Ash said. They all smiled and continued to talk for a while until they were called out. They did their pre show rituals and walked out on stage. I've been to a few of their shows, and I've never heard a crowd cheer louder than this. And rightly so. Tobin slowly walked to the mic.
"Hey." She simply said. The crowd applauded.
"It's been a while since we played back in our home town, and it feels great to be back. Jersey, I've missed ya, and I'm so glad we're here." I clapped along with the audience.
"We got a special show lined up just for you guys, our home, our people, your show." The crowd cheered.
"This is a song I wrote back when I was 16 and we first started this band, we weren't much, we practiced in my garage and played at bars, but u was having the time of my life." More cheers.
"This is a song about, about being 16, 17, and wanting to do something with your life, wanting to start something, something like a revolution!" She yelled as they started to play.

Scream with your hands up in the sky
Like you want to testify
For the life that's been deleted
Sing like a rebel's lullaby
Under the stars and stripes
For the lost souls that were cheated

We will be seen but not be heard

We are revolution radio
Operation no control
And the headline
My love's bullet proof
Give me cherry bombs and gasoline
Debutantes in surgery
And the headline
Legalize the truth

She slung her guitar behind her back and grabbed the mic

Give me rage like there's teargas in the crowd
Do you wanna live out loud?
But the air is barely breathing
Rise of the slums to the obsolete
The dawn of the new airwaves
For the anti-social media

The entire audience was jumping and screaming, packed in to the tiny space.

We are revolution radio
Operation no control
And the headline
My love's bullet proof
Give me cherry bombs and gasoline
Debutantes in surgery
And the headline
Legalize the truth

We will be seen but not be heard
We are the songs of the disturbed

We are revolution radio
Operation no control
And the headline
My love's bullet proof
Give me cherry bombs and gasoline
Debutantes in surgery
And the headline
Legalize the truth

The crowd was deafening. But I'd come to like it. Tobin looked back and smiled at me. I gave her a wave and saw her laugh. They went in with the show, playing their hits, new stuff, old stuff, and everything in between. They played Jersey favorites, songs no one had ever heard, whatever they wanted. It was about 11:30. They were gunna finish up soon. I saw Tobin look around and run over to Kelley. She leaned an elbow on her shoulder and whispered to her. Kelley just nodded and patted her in the back.
"Alright," Tobin stepped back up to the mic. She motioned for the audience to quiet down.
"Now, how many of you, would believe me, if I said I was in love?" She asked. What was she doing? She got supportive claps. She motioned for quiet again.
"Well listen, listen, I've met, a lot of girls. From all over the world. Ya know these, California girls, these southern belles, oh my, London girls." Not gunna lie, I was getting a bit ticked. The audience cheered again.
"And yeah, they're great and all, but if you're from around here, then you know, that Jersey girls, are the stone cold best!" Cheers.
"Oh god, they're fucking perfect, how could you not love em? Nothing compares to a jersey girl!" I laughed at her antics.
"And I have a special Jersey girl of my own. I love her to death, she's perfect. So I wanna bring her out here. So will my girlfriend, Alex Morgan, please come on out here?"
