What I wrote: (okay I know it started off weird, but hey, you write whatever comes to mind)
After months stuck in the dark basement they kept me in, seeing the bright light reflecting on the ocean hurt my eyes. I had to blink a few times. It was all so light and bright, from the white, soft sand which entangled my bare feet to the bright white fog that partnered with the sea.
I shivered at the sight of the sun engulfed me, it was familiar, something I never thought I would live without. Everything had changed since they took me, but the sun was still there.
