Ten slumped on Cass's bed as she paced around the room. They'd been home for around an hour and she hadn't said a word yet. He'd seen her mum at the funeral but hoped she wouldn't cause drama like she always did. It seems he was wrong.
Cass finally stopped pacing and sat next to Ten. Without a word he wrapped his arms around her and pulled her into a hug. He'd done this when her mum had left. Cass had been blaming herself even though it wasn't her fault at all. Being her best friend he knew that a hug was a much better comfort to her than any words would ever be.
Slowly, still without a word, the pair moved downstairs into Tens kitchen. His parents were out so they would have to cook for themselves, and with Cass's current state, Ten knew he was in charge.
