[ BOOK COVER TIPS : tutorial ]

{ REMINDER: please, make sure to give credit always to me and/or whoever I say I got the idea or anything else from. Failure to complete this action will lead to me probably yelling at you calmly unless you are rude about it, so please, don't be rude about it. }

SUPERIMPOSE & ADOBE DRAW

i. Open Adobe Draw and click the middle button up top that looks like layers. Select the photo layer and then add your lovely photo you want to use.

ii. Now you will have something like this. Use the brushes to outline the person you want to use and such. You make yours more detailed and well drawn; mine was a quick sketch for the sake of this tutorial haha. TIP: zoom in on certain areas to help draw crisp, clean lines. Also, using a stylus helps if you have one.

iii. Go to the layer tab once again. Select the eye button on the photo and now you should be able to see your drawing. You can do this while drawing to see what you have and to fix things, but when you're done, screenshot this outline and then go to Superimpose.

iv. Open your background you want (the background I used is from the chapter before in the add ons) and upload your image as the foreground. Erase the background if needed to make it a PNG. Also, erase the person you just outlined. (see video if needed) Merge.

v. Open your screenshotted image as the foreground and put it on darken and use the magic brush under the mask tab to erase all of the white color. If you want your outline to be white instead of black, see step below.

COMMENTS

this was requested by the lovely NicotineMikey_, so thank you for requesting! I've always wondered if anyone wondered how I did that cover, haha. Oh, and thanks for reading that series! xx

If you don't have adobe draw either, I know line draw (I think that's what it is?) works pretty good too, but not as good of course since it's a free app. Just do the same thing basically as the tutorial but on that app instead, lmao.

My plan tonight is to work on some more requests for covers in the introduction chapter and/or write some more of the Chronicles of a Fallen Love chapter I already started if any of you guys read that, haha. If you don't, I won't encourage you cause it sucks lmao.

question; If you could go back in time and change one thing in your life, what would it be? Or would you like to keep what's happened so far the same?

((yes I came up with that thanks to The Flash...and Washington Irving surprisingly))

and Washington Irving surprisingly))
