i. Open template as the background and your first image as the foreground. Depending on where you want your image located at on the cover, put the overlay mode on screen or multiply under the transform tab. Move the image as desired and merge.

ii. Go to your mask tab across the bottom and select the polygon erase tool.

iii. Move the dots where they slice the image where you want it and then double click. Do the top of the photo if needed as well. Merge after you are done. Repeat for all slots on the cover and then filter and add title!

ajksdjf ignore how ugly that example looks, I was doing this when I was half asleep last night so it looks awful. I recommend to filter and edit your photos before you put them into the template as well, I was just lazy. Here's an example on what I mean, plus where I got my inspiration at.
