Rikkard Ambrose turned left expecting to feel his wife's warm body against him, to his disappointment all he could feel was the hollow space his wife slept in. Lillian usually does not wake up this early, in fact his wife hated mornings. Rikkard hated mornings too, mornings were a constant reminder that he slept and wasted time which could have been spent on making more money.

She could probably be plotting for world domination right now. Not that he could do anything about it, he did promise to help her when she was once drunk.

He sat up and pushed the covers aside before leaving their room. The Ambrose residence is quiet, too quiet that Rikkard wondered what his wife is up to aside from possibly plotting world domination. He knew Lilly's morning routine, usually his wife would wake him up with either a hash shove or constantly hitting him with her pillow. He could have thought the married life would stop Lilly from constantly turning him into a punching bag, but as expected she did the opposite.

Hell, he even wondered if her being tied down to him for the rest of her life would turn her into a housewife he was sorely mistaken, again he expected this kind of behavior from his other half. It's one of the things he love about her the most. She's a spitfire, she's brutally honest, she's brave, she's sweet, frightfully persistent, a little naughty, and most of all the most patient woman he has ever met.

If Lilly wasn't patient she would have given up on him ever since he started pushing her away after what happened in Egypt. If she wasn't patient she would have chosen that sad excuse of a captain. She would not have chosen to spend her entire life with him.

"C'mon darling, just say Daddy for me, please?" Lilly Linton cooed at her little baby of six months.

But all little Julian did was stare at his Mommy before bursting into a fit of giggles and mumbles. As if the little babe was laughing at his Mum, Lilly's facial appearance did look a little weird with the pout and widened eyes.

Lilly sighed at smiled down to her adorable baby who is currently trying to swallow his hand. But Lilly removed his hand before the little baby could put his hand on his toothless mouth.

"Darling, say D-Daddy"

Little Julian stopped trying put his hand on his mouth and bursted into another fit of giggles before reaching both of his chubby hands out. Lillian, upset from the lack of her son's concentration looked behind her only to see her husband on the door wearing nothing but his pajamas. Lillian tried not to stare at her husband's chest before scooping her overjoyed son in her arms.

"You look like someone stole a penny from you."

"You're cheating"

Lilly wanted to tell him the truth, but being the annoyingly prideful woman she is, opted to lie instead (there really was no use lying, her husband could detect a lie but what's the crime of trying?).

"No, I'm not, I was just having a very private mommy to baby talk with this chunk right here." Lilly snuggled little Julian, which the babe giggled in return.

Rikkard, although he is looking at his wife and son with displease, there is an unhidden love and happiness in his eyes.

"Then why did you not include Leila?" He decided to just play along to her little lie.

"You know waking her up would mean waking the whole neighborhood. Aunt Brank told me I did not cry as loud as Leila did. I doubt you cried a lot, maybe when you were born you never had to cry until you needed something. Tell me, at what age did you develop your obsession for money and work?" Lilly babbled on and on while Rikkard's eyes has begun to grow heavier and heavier.
