Outlining a Friend

The rain pours, moisture fogs my window
This storm will never end, not even tomorrow
For eternity, the sky has worn a black veil
Never tearing it away before the dark, so frail

All I breathe for is my life full of tragedy
Not lending oxygen to those in catastrophe
Through my loneliness, I am gasping for air
I faintly hear my voice start to panic in despair

Shutting my eyes, a vision slowly fades in:
An image of an unfamiliar face bears no sin
Eyes of pure radiance peer at mine of weary
A pearly beam tries persuading me to be merry

Opening my eyes, a sight appears to be strange
Occurring outside my window is out of range
An unknown bright horizon soon appears
On wilting petals, crystal droplets are smeared

Using my finger, I start to outline my vision
On my window that restricts me in this prison
I'm done, now, I slowly take steps in reverse
With this imaginary acquaintance, I'll converse
