the little demon has a name and it's name is longing. since the first time his lips graced mine it's all i've thought about. this demon runs laps around my brain until my head is spinning and he is the only person i can think about.
"I believe I can even yet remember when I saw the stars for the first time"
the stars in the sky or the stars in his eyes? it's the same damn thing. i remember seeing him, and i mean really seeing him, for the first time. in a friend's backyard, standing on a trampoline, after a long hug. i remember seeing him in a brand new light. suddenly i was looking at him instead of at the stars in the sky. i think that was the moment i knew. i wouldn't admit it out loud until much later.
