My mouth flunged open.This is the guy mum told me about.The guy who kidnapped her.That's why he kidnapped mum.Because he wanted dad's place.That's why dad kept it to himself.It was a personal matter...Wait but mum was kidnapped 18 years ago.Has this been going on for 18 years??

"So you want to tell me that this was going on for 18 years and I didn't even knew about it"I asked.My dad nodded

"Dad.Why didn't you tell me.I could have helped you"I said.He shook his head.

"You were young when it happened and as the years went by I started to forget about it.Until 3 years ago.When you were 15 he started bothering me again.Saying that he wants Valka back.I started getting suspicious.Did she escape??Did this guy killed her and his insanity make him forget about it??I had a lot of questions and I wanted them to be answered so I started looking more into the case but I didn't want to talk to you about this.It would have been a lot to take in.So I started working on it in secret.That was also one of the reasons I send you to the camp.I am sorry Hiccup for keeping such a thing hidden from you"he said.I sighed.I wanted to tell him that mum was safe and he should stop looking and worrying so much but I promised mum not to tell anyone.So I just nodded

"It's okay dad.I understand.Now get some rest.You need it"I said.He smiled as I got up and lowered the bed.He sighed and got comfortable on the bed.

"Goodnight dad"I said.He smiled.

"Goodnight son"he said as his eyes closed.I smiled and sat down on the chair next to  his bed.I took my phone out and texted Astrid.

H:Everything is okay.He is resting now

Not even a minute went by when my phone clinged.

A:Oh.Thank God.I was so worried.Did you learn what happened?

H:Yeah.And the sad thing is that I can't do anything about it

A:What?What happened?

H:Call me

A few seconds past and my phone vibrated. Astrids number showed on the screen.I looked at my dad before getting up and leaving the room.I opened the door and closed it behind me just as I was answering the call

"M'lady"I said

"Babe.What happened?"she asked.I sighed

"It's kind of a long story"I said

"I have time"she answered.I sighed and leaned against the wall

"Remember when my mum told us about the guy who kidnapped her when I was just a baby.?"I asked

"Yeah??"

"Well.This dude's name is Drago Bludvist and.....is actually....after my dad."I said

"What??How is that possible?"she asked

"Dad told me....And when mum escaped from him 3 years ago he started bothering my dad saying that he wants Valka back.So my dad looked back on the case.Until today."I said

"Wait he has bothering your dad since you were 15?Why didn't he say anything?"she asked

"He said it was for my safety and because it would had been a lot to take in"I said

"Well.Did you tell him that Valka is actually okay and is at the Camp with us?"she asked

"I couldn't.I promised my mum not to say anything about knowing where she is"I answered.I heard her sigh
