"Well at least they aren't enemies." My mom said. It confused me and I tore my eyes away from the goddess to see that all the adults were watching us very amused. "Sweety, these are the alphas and their daughter." My mom said.

I tensed a little. The last time I had a run in with werewolfs I nearly died. I tried to flash my mom a panicked look but she ignored me. "John is my old friend, he left when his mate Dylan found him," my mom was giving me a certain look that I didn't understand.

"Well that's great. I have a lot of... unpacking to do... so I'm gonna go now." I run away before any of them could try to stop me. I rushed to my room slamming the door shut barricading myslef in. I now focused on my stuggle to slow my breathing.

Not now. I resisted the panic attack.  Not now. They can probably hear me. My legs gave out and I fell to my knees struggling to calm my breath. This is worse than it usually is. I heard in the background a buzzing and banging.

Images began going threw my mind. Memories of what happened. Then warm arms wrapped around me, a voice that sounded far off started to command me how to breath. I found myself listening to them. Slowly coming back to reality. I noticed that all four of them were around me very worried.

I wasn't in my mom's arms but in Gaby's. My mom was telling me how to breath. Gaby had my securely locked in her grip I tried to get out and found it was like a steel cage. The weird thing was that I didn't freak out at all. I felt comfortable and safe.

"Cora are you okay, what's wrong?" My mom said very concerned. I finally pushed myself from Gaby standing up. "I'm fine I just... saw a spider." My mom sighed. "Okay, lets go downstairs. Dylan's got this" John said clearly afraid of spiders, enough to buy my lie.

The John and Gaby went downstairs and my mom stopped at the stairs. "Cora don't lie to me here. I don't wanna go threw this again." I can't look at her. "I'm fine now." I'm not but she'll let it go for now. She walked downstairs.

I sat on the top stairs for a second and than walked downstairs. "Cora want to help us cook some lunch?" My mom asks me giving me a very targeted look. I just nod my head and follow them into the kitchen.

We may have just moved in, but my mom has always made an effort to never run out of food. A little weird but I'm not complaining, until of course right now. Look I know I shouldn't stereotype people but if you were me you would understand. John is probably a great guy.

My mom started to pull some random ingredients from around the kitchen. "Lessania?" I asked. She usually made my favorite food on special occasions or holidays. "First day in a new house, place, and life." She responded as we started making the dish.

"Well the first of those two are correct. Though this is still the same life as before." I stated. My mom and John laughed at that. I was still a bit focused on my breathing. Fuck, I can't help it. I'm going to be fine.

"So Cora how old are you?" Jack asked. "I'm 16. Turning 17 in a week." He nodded," so have your abilities popped up yet?" I shook my head. It had been one of the things our old coven had hated about me. Most people are born with there abilities. Everyone thought I was a dud. A magic less witch.

"Ehh it's a bit over rated. I mean who says you need magic in the first place. Sorry I'll try not to get to political. Right um... are you going to be joining a public school?" I was starting to like John a little bit. Suddenly Dylan yells from upstairs got it.

Wait there was an actual spider in my room. Ah fuck this shit!!
