This is not Dissociative Identity Disorder (previously known as Multiple Personality Disorder), but it is close to it. People with BPD often misdiagnosed with Bipolar Disorder (previously known as Manic-Depressive Disorder). BPD can be a sign that the person is forming Dissociative Identity Disorder. BPD can turn into Dissociative Identity Disorder.
