Finding Calypso

Chapter 2

I see Calypso on her island. She's singing and collecting herbs. She's just as beautiful as always. She smiles and waves at me. "Leo I'm waiting for you" she says playfully. Her face goes slack. A sleepy evil smile creeps onto her face. A different voice comes out of her mouth, "oh my little hero, did you really think it would be that easy to get rid of me?" Gaea mocks. "One of you will not live to see the other one again." She laughs and Calypso collapses. I scream but no sound comes out. Blood flows from her mouth and her eyes roll back into her head. I wake up covered in cold sweat. I hear Piper calling outside, "Leo, come meet me at the docks." I pull out the clothes Calypso gave me and get dressed. I run over to the docks and I see it. The Argo2. I look at Piper, "but it was destroyed in the war!" She smiles, "well the Hephaestus cabin and the rest of the 7 found it and fixed it up." My eyes fill up with tears. I will not cry. "Happy birthday!" Piper yells. Wait, today's my birthday? Oh yeah it is. All of the 7 pop out of the Argo2 and yell, "surprise!" Even Nico is holding a balloon and smiling. It must be because of his new girlfriend, Clarissa. She's 3 years younger than him but always makes him smile. Percy walks toward me. "Well, are we going to find your girl?" Well great. I might as well invite the whole camp to come on the quest with us. "No. I was trying to go alone, but then Piper and Jason decided they were coming and now we might as well have a big party and invite everyone." Percy's eyebrows are raised. "Well mate, We're coming with you and there is nothing you can do to stop us." Annabeth pops her head out of the ship window and shouts, "You deserve true love. Just like the rest of us have." Clarissa jumps down from the ship. "I'm coming too."

We set sail and I take the captain's wheel. Nico and Clarissa both climb the crows nest. They say they'll work, but everyone on board knows they'll just make-out the whole time.
