Chapter 3
Kakashi's POV~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Ahhh~ I'm finally done with this mission. Now I can finally get back to Tsuki-chan and meet my team." Kakashi said.
"I think you're only excited to meet Tsukiko-san." Gai said.
Kakashi glared at Gai using his uncovered eye as they made their way back to Konoha.
Tsukiko's POV~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We've only been getting silly D-ranked missions. To say that I'm bored out of my mind would be an understatement. The only reason why I haven't gotten a harder mission from Hiruzen was because I felt that the team needed this so that they could improve on their teamwork.
Currently, Naruto is complaining to the Hokage about how he wants harder missions. But neither the Hokage or Iruka is listening to him. Kakashi couldn't have chosen a better time to waltz into the Hokage's office, interrupting the whole conversation.
"Am I interrupting something?" Kakashi asked sarcastically.
"Nope nothing much really... But Welcome back! And here's your team!" I said enthusiastically as I gave him a hug. What can I say he's my best friend. *shrugs*
"Team 7, meet your other sensei. And other sensei, meet Team 7. ^^"
Everyone sweatdropped as they waited for me to introduce Kakashi, but I just left Kakashi to introduce himself while I talked to Hiruzen about team 7's next mission. I told him to give us a C-ranked mission as Kakashi was back and having me there was enough to protect the entire team.
He agreed and gave us the mission when Naruto said that he wasn't the kid that played pranks anymore. He was a ninja now. I was proud of him when he said that.
"Your C-ranked mission is to escort Tazuna to the Land of the Waves. Come in Tazuna!" The Hokage explained.
In came a drunk looking man. 'I'm guessing he's Tazuna...' I was fuming when he stumbled in ordering us to protect him while insulting my genins. Luckily, Kakashi caught Naruto when Naruto lunged at the man. Personally, I wanted Naruto to succeed but there wouldn't be a mission if the client was dead right?
"Tazuna, I would prefer if you didn't insult my genins because they're certainly strong enough to kick your butt." I stated emotionlessly and looked at him, daring him to say something else.
Luckily for him, he kept quiet. So I said "Then if there's nothing else, everyone lets meet at the gates in one hours time kay? See you! Ciao~"
3rd POV~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Everyone sweatdropped at Tsukiko's "bipolar-ness" as she dragged Kakashi along with her.
She dragged Kakashi to his apartment and asked him about his mission. Kakashi's visible eye gleamed when Tsukiko asked about him. He grinned mischievously and said "Everything went according to plan so it was a little bit boring, but did Tsuki-chan miss me?"
His heart skipped a beat when she said "Yeah of course I missed you" but fell when she continued by saying "my bestest friend in the whole wide world."
For a vampire who was a few hundred years old and had seen most of the world, she was really dense.
Tsukiko's POV~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I was so excited that Kakashi was back but I couldn't help but noticed that sadness flashed through his eye for a second when I said he was my best friend. I wanted to ask him what was wrong but I decided against it. Instead I told him to pack quickly so that we can meet the genins at the gate on time.
Kakashi's POV~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I hope she didn't see the sadness I felt when she said I was her best friend. It's not that I didn't want to be her best friend but I really want us to be more than just friends. To say that I liked Tsuki-chan would be an understatement. But even then all I could do was only to continue looking at her beautiful black hair and gazing into her beautiful green eyes which shimmered in the sunlight. Her clothes that she wore complimented the curves on her body. She was the perfectly well toned. I couldn't help but feel love for her when I looked into her beautiful eyes. Sadly, she doesn't know how I feel about her. But at least for now I'm her bestest friend. And only I call her Tsuki-chan. I broke eye contact and left her as I went to prepare for our next mission. I want to tell her how
I feel but I don't want to pressure her... Urgh... I love her and all but sometimes she's just really dense...
3rd POV
Kakashi left Tsukiko as he went
To pack for the mission. Tsukiko quickly took what she needed from her apartment and left for the gates after eating a few mochis and drinking enough blood to help her last a few days without blood. She may be a vampire and all but Tsukiko loves her mochis. Mmm.. Yum... Everyone soon gathered at the gates, and Tsukiko exclaimed while still chewing on her mochi "Alright everyone, let's go!" Even though she was an adult, she still exuded such innocence and cuteness. Even Sasuke thought that she was cute. Kakashi heaved a sigh as they left the village as Sakura hit Naruto on the head while Naruto glared at Sasuke.
Tsukiko and Kakashi couldn't help but think at the same time 'This team needs a lot of work...'
