How did you discover Wattpad?

I actually heard about it from a friend. We were super bored one day in Chemistry, and she was using her phone to get on Wattpad. Before long, she’d gotten me addicted, too :)

How did you come up with your username?

I came up with it about five seconds before I signed up. It just popped into my head, and I thought it sounded decent, so I used it. (Originally I was going to do something about cupcakes, don’t ask why...)

When and how did you start writing stories?

I started when I was in second grade. Our teacher made us write stories in class, and I started coming up with tons of ideas. Before I knew it, I was writing in my free time, too (though my stuff wasn’t that good- I’d write two pages and call it quits :P).

Do you base your characters off of real life people? If so, how and why?

Yes and no. I don’t try to copy real people entirely, but I take the traits I like and make a character out of them. I do like to take interesting names, though- my friend knows a person named Nabeel, and I’m planning on using that name in my story. I can’t get over how cool the name Nabeel is :)

What are your current projects?

Right now I’m working on CursEd, which is a fantasy romance that I’ve got lots of ideas for! The other one I have is called Eros and Psyche, based on the Greek myth, but I don’t have as many ideas for that one, so it’s kind of on hold. I still hope to work some more on it, though :)

If you could switch places with any character in one of your stories, who would it be?

I’d have to say my main character, Carly. The downside is that a lot of bad stuff is happening to her, but she handles it well, and magic powers are also a bonus. Plus, she goes to a boarding school, which has been a dream of mine forever!

Do you have a motto? If so, what is it?

Hmm... I don’t think I have one, actually. The only thing I can think of is “Be creative”, but that doesn’t always apply to me. Sometimes I’m the most non-creative person I know :P

Who is your favorite Wattpad author?

I like a lot of authors, but at the moment, it’s probably wildspiritontheloose. She’s got this great writing style that I really admire- she’s one of the few authors who genuinely values quality in her work. I also like jules130, since her plotlines are always so detailed and fascinating.

What’s your inspiration of your stories?

A lot of the time, my ideas just come to me while I’m daydreaming. I got the idea for CursEd in a real dream, actually, though the way it presented itself was really strange. I also get ideas from stuff around me- things that I’m into at the moment usually find their way into my writing :)

Tell us something about your story that you are currently writing so far.

In CursEd, a girl named Carly is cursed on her seventeenth birthday, and the only cure is true love. She has to attend a boarding school made for people with magical ability, but before long, she gets tangled up in the issues of a mysterious prince, and complications ensue... It’s really fun to write :)

Favorite book on Wattpad?

Handsome & the Geek by wildspiritontheloose- I love the characters, the plot, pretty much everything! I’m really looking forward to the next update!

If any of your characters came to life, who would you pick to be your soulmate and best friend?

Soulmate? Definitely Vesper, the prince. He’s funny without being cocky, and he’s not a total jerk, which is a quality soul mates should probably have. Best friend would have to be Drilly- she’s kind of a dork, and I can appreciate that :)

Do you have a role model you look up to?

Is it weird to say I look up to my mom? Well, it’s true. She’s this awesome, classy woman who can pretty much do anything- I hope I turn out just like her!

Do you prefer reading or writing and why?

I actually like writing. When I’m writing, I get just as excited about plot developments as I would if I were reading them- odd, but true. That’s not to say that I don’t love reading, though, because I do!

Describe three words about yourself.

Giggly, indecisive, and spacey. In other words, I fit the dumb blonde stereotype perfectly.

What do you do when you have every writers’ nightmare; writers’ block?

Listen to music! I get really pumped up and creative whenever I have a good song playing :)

What do you do when you’re not on Wattpad?

Like I said, I loooove music, so I do that a lot. I also like to play piano, though I’m definitely not perfect... Oh, and school. I do that too.

Do you have a favorite undiscovered story on Wattpad? If so, what is it and do you believe it deserves WAY more votes and views than it has now?

Okay, I feel like I’m on an advertising campaign for this story, but Handsome & the Geek. It’s not exactly undiscovered- I know a bunch of others are reading it- but it definitely deserves a bajillion more votes and views! It’s absolutely amazing :)

Random question: Favorite and worst subject at school?

Favorite? English. Worst? World History- I’m so bad at remembering dates!

What do your friends describe you as?

Ditzy and smart. It doesn’t make sense...

Do you have a nickname?

I actually don’t. People have tried to give me nicknames in the past, but I’m kind of un-nickname-able. I don’t mind, though- if anything, it helps people learn my real name, which is a little hard as it is.

Random question: When life gives you lemons, what would you do with them?

Make pink lemonade. I try to be unique.

Do you see yourself as an author when you’re older or sometime in the future?

It’s definitely possible. I might get a medical career, but I’d love it if my writing succeeded :)
