12.Life seems to be normal

I came to my coffee shop for much needed relaxation as my mind was a mess of all un wanting things...

"Hey " I greeted everyone and they too greeted me in a cheerful way as though they have missed me

"Where were you ?" Uncle George asked me as I wasn't here for a week..

"Got a bit busy with work....I hope you didn't stress yourself much " I say

"Not at all...everyone else does help me and you don't worry , concentrate on your career " he is a sweetheart

"Mind telling me the reason for your absence ?" I heard Lucy's complain filled question..

"I just told them that I was busy...I'm sorry Lucy" I said making the puppy face

"It's okay " She said and at last smiled..

"Lets have a coffee made by me " I said and went to prepare coffee while she got settled

Suddenly my phone buzzed and checked it and my smile grew bigger on seeing Manik's text.

'Hello honey !! Where are you ?" Even his text had a power to make me blush

"Hello !! At Coffee Lab " I texted back

'Okk !! Stay there...bye ' he texted and I felt clueless after all I was clueless...

I gave up the thought and moved out with a tray in my hand....

"Here you go " I said as I got settled on the seat in front of Lucy's

"So , what's happening ? " she asked

"Umm nothing " I replied although I knew that there was much to tell her.."what about you ?" I asked back

"Got engaged " she told me showing my her hand in which she was wearing ring..

"What the......!! Why didn't you tell me ?? When did this happen ? And wait is it Keith ?" I bombarded her with questions

"I didn't tell you because I wanted to tell you face to face and you didn't come from many days so it's your fault....It's just that Keith proposed me and I didn't have the courage to say no..." she narrated and I was so happy for her...she was engaged to the love of her life...

"Congratulations !! " I congratulated her and got up from my seat to hug her..

"Thank you " she said with a never ending smile on her face

"Hello " I heard a voice and turned my heard to the source to see daddy standing with...

Manik

Why are they both together ?

"Daddy " I said and moved to them

"So how's the work going ?" Daddy asked and I looked at him and then at Manik hoping them to tell me what made them come here...

"Good but why are you both here ?" I asked

"What did you think ?? That if you will not tell me then I won't know ?" Daddy said and I looked at him and then at Manik and my mind had millions of questions about what did manik tell ??

Did he tell daddy that , that gun shot was to kill me ??

Oh god

"Daddy woh " I felt being speechless

" why didn't you tell me that you and Manik are together ?" Daddy said and my head snapped at daddy who was smiling...

"Daddy " I said as I was relieved..

"God bless you both " daddy said and kissed my forehead...

"Anyways I have some work so I will take a leave " daddy said and left after bidding us bye

"Manik you.." I said but stopped in between while manik looked at me with arms folded across his chest " You are the best....you know what I am so happy that you told daddy...I didn't know how to do this " I said

"I know that your daddy means the world to you and you won't like to take this step without your daddy's agreement " he said and I felt lucky to have him...

"Thank you so much " I said and moved towards him and placed my head on his chest , hugging him...

"Anything for you baby " he said and encircled his arms around me..

"Kal mere saath chalo gi ?" He asked as we broke apart

"Kahan ?" I asked

"For outing " he said

"Okay " I agreed

"See you tomorrow...bye " he said

"Bye"he said and left

"Will you do the honours of telling me about what just happened ?" Lucy asked as soon as I turned and I bit my tongue on getting caught red handed...

"Actually I wanted to tell you but.." I was cut in between in by Lucy

"But you thought to not tell her "

"No actually I wanted us to give a name to our relation first " I said

"Okay okay !! I understand now tell me " she said resting her face on her hand which rested on the table "each and everything " she said pointing her index finger at me...and I soon finished narrating everything to her , like each and everything...the way we met for the second time in hospital then he came back to check , he saving me from that man and all...."Wow !! Nandini you've got someone who will protect you like a hero....

I felt proud

I walked into my house only to feel an uneven silence...It wasn't like there was noise all around but still...

"Where is daddy ?" I asked from the female servant

"He came and went back to office " she replied

"Okay " I said and moved towards my room
