Star's POV
I scream as I slide down the stair railing before crashing into Marco when I reach the bottom. Woopsies. He starts to say something, but I ignore him.
"Again!" I yell taking the stairs 2 at a time.
"Star, don't do that! Your going to get hurt."
"Safe kid!"
"I was just thinking that we could take the laser puppies to the park." My best friend trudges up the stairs to his room.
"Marco!"
"Forget it Star." Aw he sounds so sad.
"Please? Please-please-please-please-please-please-"
"Fine!" Yes! Works every time.
It takes us about 40 minutes to round up the puppies and as soon as we're done I'm almost out the door before I notice a floating ball of light.
"Star! Don't touch it, there could be strings attached!"
"There is." My eyes follow the string to were it's tied to the roof. Why? I don't know. All I know is that I'm gonna touch it. And I do.
I watch as the light gets bigger than smaller. All it's doing is sitting there pulsing.
I turn around. "See Marco? Perfectly safe to-" I don't know what happened then, just that the world went white.
