Harley Part 2

Yesterday I put aside my fears to show support,

For a young man taken to early from this life.

As I stood alone looking at all the support that he had,

I almost smiled, so many people loved you!

When we met you felt as if you had nothing to live for,

After a few months together, I managed to change your entire outlook on life.

No longer did you fear or despise me because of the color of my skin.

No longer did you want to end your life, in fact it seemed as if your life was just beginning .

Your sullen sulk became a smile.

I began to look forward to our interactions and your insight,

And before I was ready, it was time for you to go.

Back to your real life, living to the fullest.

It was good to see you so happy when I would visit you at school.

I was so proud of you for taking the necessary steps to begin again.

Then a phone call changes it all.

The voice on the line, "Have you heard?"

My heart stopped as I continued to listen.

Gone?!

Yesterday I put my fears aside to say goodbye one last time.

You will be missed,

A beautiful soul stolen.
