I feel like there is a slight chance of this being canon, but if it is, it's a bit one-sided. Canonically, that is. Amethyst is clearly suggestive towards Pearl, usually in her movements. I think they're a cute couple, but it probably won't be made canonical. They always stand next to each other, but that's not necessarily important.

Aesthetically calming (to me)
Both can bond over a feeling of being alone. Amethyst is defective, causing her to feel alone. Pearl lost Rose, whom she loved.
The humorous moments. I especially loved when Amethyst smacked Pearl's butt in... Back to the Moon? Whichever one it was. Priceless.
