When creating a story you must have it to make sense and explain things that the reader has been questioning.You must know what are the characters thinking and what are in their minds.
You also must be planning your stories and what scenes will be happening in order to have it to make more sense.
You also must not care what are other stories are doing and do not change the plot of your story or anything.Make sure you have a message in story and it must teach the viewer\reader a lesson. (It is completely up to you how you want the message).
