CRISS ANGEL-SINGLE FATHER

Part 9

A few days went by and Criss was doing some work on his computer when his phone rang.  "Hello".  "Hey Christopher how's single fatherhood?".  "Sully nice to hear from you it's hard at time but I'm doing good" he replied.  "Look I heard about Johnny having cancer if you need any help at all I'll be happy to help".  "Thanks Sully I'll keep that in mind" and hung up as Dimitra came in. 

"Criss it's time for Johnny's appointment".  Criss sighed.  "What's wrong sweetie?".  "Something just hit me who is Johnny's mother why didn't she think she could care of Johnny and how sure was she that I'm Johnny's father"Criss said. "How long have you been thinking about this?"she asked him. 

"Since Johnny got sick what if Johnny needs something that we can't give him and he needs his mother to help or he asks me when he's older where's his mother:  do I just tell him your mommy left you on my door step on a rainy night when you four months old with a note saying you were my responsibilty now"Criss wondered. 

"You were kind of in a drunken fog as your brother put it around the time Johnny might of been conceived" his mother stated.  "I know that but I wish I knew".  All of a sudden Johnny started crying they ran out to find Johnny on the floor with vomit on him and the floor.  "It's all right Johnny these things happen" picking him up. "Why don't you get him a fresh shirt while I clean this up" his mother suggested. 

"Thanks mom" and they went to the laundry room.  His mother got some spray and a paper towel but as she wiped it up she noticed something in the vomit.  "Christopher".  "What mom" he asked coming back into the living room. "There's blood in his vomit" she said.  When they went to the hospital Criss told them what happened at the house.  "Sounds like Johnny has some mouth sores from the chemo it happens sometime they bleed" he remarked.  "Is there anything else that the chemo might effect" Dimitra asked. 

As the doctor talked about it Criss couldn't take any more and walked out.  His mother went after him and found Criss sitting next to his son as Johnny has chemo.  "Christopher are you all right?".  "Yea I just couldn't take listening to all the side effect or what Johnny might have to deal with in the future" wiping tears from his face.  Dimitra could tell Criss was feeling overwhelmed and let her son just calm down. 

At the house after Johnny had his treatment Criss was sitting outside when he heard a motorcycle pull up.  He went to his driveway and saw Sully taking off his helment.  "Hey brother how's it going?".  Criss smiled and walked over to Sully and gave him a hug.  "What are you doing here?".  "I asked him to come you need a night out to decompress before you end up having a heart attack or another seizure" his mother replied. 

Criss walked over to his mom and gave her a hug.  "You could always read me like book mom" he said.  "Your my son Christopher I've been reading you since you were born now have some fun but don't come home drunk".  "I won't"Criss said.  Criss got into his Lambo with Sully and left.
