The lights seemed to blind the boy as his eyes peeled open. A swore feeling swelled inside of his chest as he sat up to see nurses and doctors in this room, talking to a tall man with navy blue hair that dangled to his ears, a blonde woman sobbing as the man held her close, and another man who stood around the others with a restless expression. Ciel didn't recognize any of these people and looked around frantically to try and figure out why he was in a hospital and who these strangers were, but as he accidentally had dropped the remote all sets of eyes shot at him.
Silence.
The first noise that was made came from the female who quickly rushed over and embraced the boy, sobbing and thanking God. The two men gave sighs of relief and followed the woman who held Ciel with a death grip.
"Rachel, give him space." The one with navy hair chuckled, ruffling his hand against the younger's hair not expecting a flit from his own son.
"Who are you?!" He snapped at the three strangers who crowed him.
The three exchanged wide eyed looks but as the woman seemed to tear up once more, the male with ebony locks that stood the same height as the man who made contact with Ciel had kneeled against the hospital bed.
"Ciel. . ." His voice was smooth and sweet, but the boy was still scared of the strange man next to him, "These are your parents. Rachel and Vincent Phantomhive." He stated, pointing to the woman with tears streaming down her face who had the man trying to keep her calm.
"Then what does that make you?" Ciel clicked his tongue as he raised a brow.
Before the male spoke, he gave a chuckle. "Sassiness hasn't left him." He thought before caressing the boy's cheek.
"I'm your boyfriend." He said with their eyes making contact, "I'm Sebastian, remember, Kitten?" He did look sincere but he broke out of so called 'Sebastian's' grasp.
"You don't look gay." Ciel mumbled, eyeing the man up and down.
Giving a straight face the male rolled his eyes in a playful manner, "I'm sorry, let me so get my rainbow suit and we can restart this conversation!" It was hard for him to get through the sentence without bursting into laughing like he soon did.
But Ciel blinked twice, showing he was unamused and somewhat annoyed, so that caused Sebastian to quickly silence himself.
"Are you trying to be funny?"
"It's obviously not working if I am."
The bluenette chuckled lightly, laying back down, resting his eyes before speaking once more, "Why am I here?"
With a shaker breath, Sebastian looked to Vincent who was the one who fully understood the incident that caused ciel's memories to rid themselves from his precious mind.
Taking a breath the man's lips parted but it seemed like nothing could come out until long moments of him thinking of how to explain it to his only child he almost had lost.
"My boy. . . You. . ." He gasped, looking to the floor to think of the correct words to explain the situation. "You were. . . You were getting your cousin out from her house, it was on fire. You were able to help her. But you went back in because she needed something stupid. By a half hour we were in and out trying to find you. But the floor caved in. You've been in a coma for three months." The male stated in a hoarse whisper.
The boy's eyes widened in shock.
Three months?
He didn't believe it but he had no choice. He had burns that were scarred on his arms. For the rest of that day, Ciel spoke to nobody as he attempted to remember what his father had told. But mostly, tried remembering the male to claimed to be his boyfriend.
God, what would he do now?
