----------------------------------------------Dream.........
I looked around to see that I was in St. Petersburg at the middle of the night. The streets were empty but, it was covered in a thin layer of snow. The street light lit the sidewalk. I walked to a store window to see that I wasn't a little kid here. I was an adult.
My hair was longer and darker. I wore dark eyeshadow and my lipstick complemented with the rest of my makeup and my hair. I wore a white/beige trench coat, black skinny jeans, and a dark color high heel boots. Overall, I was beautiful.
"Katerina."
I turned around to see a man behind me. He had the familiar grey hair and piercing blue eyes. He wore a black trench coat, grey pants, black gloves and black shoes. He looked really handsome. He was tall too.
He walked towards me and and wrapped his arms around my waist. My heart heated loudly and fast. I felt tingles from his touch. The feeling was awkward and new to me. I didn't know how to react. I couldn't control my body.
The man gave me a smile. "I love you Katerina.
I placed my hand over his right cheek. "I love you too Victor."
{That's Victor!}
He placed his fingers on my chin and lifted my head up. Next thing I knew, were were leaning in for a kiss.
End dream..........
"Katerina."
Sleepily, I opened my eyes to see Victor who woke me up. "It's time to get up. You need to eat something," he told me. Slowly, I sat up and stretched my arms out. A cart of food was brought into our dressing room.
I got up from the couch and grabbed myself some yogurt. Victor got himself a bilini that was filled with ham and cheese. While I ate, I kept thinking about the dream. {Why did I dream about that?} I looked over at Victor who was eating his food.
{Will I ever be that close to him?}
My heart started to beat. I shook my head from the thought and continued to eat my food. "Where is Polina?" I asked Victor. "She is outside talking with the other coaches," he told me. "Oh." {Probably finding out the competition.
After finishing the yogurt, I had my bilini. "After this, I'm done." I didn't really like to eat too much before skating. After eating my early dinner, I read a book. Victor kept staring at the mirror. {What is he looking at?}
Knock...knock....
We turned our heads to the door to see Polina. "Hi Polina," we said in unison. "Hello kids. Did you two eat?" she asked us as she closed the door behind herself. We gave her a nod. She walked over to the cart and got some food to eat.
In an hour, I want you two dressed so that I can do your make up. The competition for ice dancing will start soon," she informed us. We gave her a nod. Victor turned the television on to watch the competition.
Everyone was really good.
Almost everyone at the rink had went to last years competition. Victor and I did meet a few first timers. Surprisingly, they didn't rink very high. I got really worried that we weren't going to rank high until next year.

"Ladies and Gentlemen. Please welcome Victor Nikiforov and Katerina Samarina."
Everyone applauded us as we skated around the rink. There were so many people who came to the competition to see their favorite skaters and parents who wanted to see their children skate on the ice.
We were skating to "Die Fledermaus." It was an opera about Gabriel von Eisenstein who was sentenced to jail. He ends up going to a ball and meeting some familiar faces. He did ended up going to jail to serve his sentence.
Once we were done with the program, we gave everyone a bow and skated off the ice. Polina gave us a big hug. "I am so proud of you two. You skated perfectly," she told us. We gave her a smile and sat at the Kiss and Cry area. Soon, our scores came out.
We won the competition. Victor gave me a big hug. "We did it!" I was very happy. Polina gave us a big hug too. "I'm so proud of you two," she told us. She was crying her tears out. Victor got her some tissues.
At the medal ceremony, we stood before the podium waiting for the announcement. The silver and bronze medalist received their bouquet and medal. "Ladies and Gentlemen. Gold Medalist. Victor Nikiforov and Katerina Samarina." We stood on the highest podium.
The officials from the federation walked up to us and gave us our medals and bouquets.
It was an amazing experience.

Age 10
Spring.......
St. Petersburg Championship............
It had been a year since we competed and we were back to defend our title. Over the year, we had really practiced ice dancing together. Also, my feelings for Victor has grown that sometimes, I felt awkward around him.
Next year, Polina wanted us to compete internationally so that we would get some recognition in the skating world. We were excited for that to happen. We were grateful to have Polina as our coach. She really did care for us.
We were in the lead in the small program. In the free program, we were doing Phantom of the Opera. We spent almost a whole year learning the choreography and learning about the story itself. We thought that we had a good grasp on the idea.
"It's that time again."
Victor and I dressed in our costumes. Polina helped with our make up and got our costumes. The costumes were very nice. I was about to tie my shoes until Victor got on his knees and tied them for me.
"I could do it you know," I told him.
We waited for our turn on the ice.
"Ladies and Gentlemen. Victor Nikiforov and Katerina Samarina."
We skated onto the ice and waved to everyone. Soon, we skated to the middle of the ice and posed for position. Victor stood behind me and did his pose. I faced my back to him and posed myself. "We can do this," Victor whispered to me.
"I know," I whispered back to him. We needed to defend our title. The music started to be played throughout the ice rink.
{Watch the video for choreography and music.}
Victor lifted me up from the ice for our lift element. Next thing I knew........
"Ahhhh."
{What was that?} Once Victor put me on my feet, I looked at him. He looked alright. We continued to skate until the very end. I could hear Victor panting hard. Everyone was applauding us that it filled the whole rink.
"Ladies and gentlemen. Victor Nikiforov and Katerina Samarina."
We bowed to everyone. Once I was done, I turned to Victor to see a small stream of blood flow down his face. I covered my mouth in shock.
{What have I done?}
