Beauty

My eyes followed you everywhere
but you, never gave a second glance.
When I saw her against you,
my heart stopped.

I see hope now,
shining through the shades.
For I shall get a man,
Who's heart may belong to me.

I now see, no need to starve
for you to like me back.
More, you don't need to like me
For me to love myself.

I don't need to hide
my face under thousands of layers,
so that you see me beautiful,
for my beauty persists in dirt and grime.

I now realise, the perfection
in my flaws  and
the beauty in
all my scars.

I don't need no skin shows
in barely there skimpy clothes,
For you to come
and ask for my number.

I don't want to be one
of the many in your bed.
No, the blinds no longer shield my eyes.
I now realise you belong to no one.

That you are like snow,
Beautiful as such,
But icy cold.

I burned your picture
and buried the ashes
Deep down the earth.

I ripped open the curtains
and as I peeked outside,
I realise there are colours
Other than blue.

A/N:
The songs added to some of the chapters are the 'inspirations',
This one was a mix of Scars to your beautiful and a little bit of Colors by Halsey.
