The first being the ghost of christmas past. When Scrooge asks the spirit "of what past are you" it says his own. This other worldly spirit speaks to him personally making me think this is his own minds image. The spirit takes Scrooge to see his past life as a child. They first fly out of his room out the window like an airplane takes off from a landing strip. The two fly over the winter back country, this ability to fly is something also reported of people "doing" while on Dmt. The spirit takes him first to his old school and Scrooge remembers it automaticlly. Everyone he sees is in seperate concessness so he cannot have any interaction with them. The exact moment they go back to is one the Scrooge remembers in his head quite well. Everyone has left the school for the holidays but he is the only child left their. Its a young Ebenezer. I call him Ebenezer now because i believe at that point he hadn't become the "Scrooge" we've come to know. Ebenezer is sitting in the class room singing in a sad a lonely tone. And Scrooge can't help but feel sorry for his younger self. The same sadness that he had felt that very day long ago.
