Chapter Seventeen

Natsu's P.O.V

After my confrontation with Lucy, I drove home. I began to realize there wasn't a point for us being together anymore anyway. My father made it clear she wasn't good enough for him and she had saved up enough for her and her father.

Even with this idea however, the thought of her being gone hadn't appealed to me. I didn't even love her, but I couldn't deny that there was something about her. I had dated models before, but I could never see their beauty quite the way I saw Lucy's. I wasn't sure, was this just all in my head? I mean she practically rejected me any way I looked at it. Maybe it's just that idea making me feel this way.

Me, Natsu Dragneel rejected my some lowly, broke, girl. Ha, as if she would ever make me fall in love with her. I opened my front doors and was greeted by my maids and butlers. I usually just merely acknowledge their presence and continue walking but this time I smiled and greeted them back.

That's strange..I thought. I shook myself however and began pacing to my room. I needed to get her out of my head. I grabbed my phone from my pocket and scrolled through my contact lists until it stopped on a girls name. I wasn't sure if I could exactly remember who the girl was but I proceeded to call her anyways.

"Hello?! Mr. Dragneel?" She spoke in excitement.

"Hello" I replied, "Are you busy right now?"

"Oh my gosh, I-I umm.." she spoke nervously with excitement, "I was but I can make myself unbusy if you want!" She squealed.

Ugh, her voice came off as very annoying. I began to vaguely remember why I never called her. Oh well, she's the lucky winner tonight.

"Shhh," I spoke. "Save those screams for tonight."

Lucy's P.O.V

After Natsu had gone home I slumped down on my couch and began to watch some T.V. I flipped through each and every channel hoping to find something to get my mind of things, however, I began to reach a point where I hadn't even payed attention to the channels I was watching. I sighed and turned the t.v off.

My rest of the day felt the same. Everything I was doing, I was doing mindlessly, as if I was only doing things for the mere thoughts of getting it done. I was stagnant, sluggish; I was a robot. I went to my room and plopped up on my bed. I grabbed the picture of my mom that I had taken to the Dragneel's and began to stare at it.

A tear rolled down my cheek as I begun to think about all my memories with her. However, my thoughts begun to progress to my time at Natsu's as well. Despite the bad times I've shared there, the longer I stayed the more content I had begun to feel.

That was when I made a decision. I'm gonna go back to the Dragneel's and properly thank and apologize for my troubles and my stay there. It was only fair after everything they have done for me. I grabbed a coat and walked out the door. Well, I thought, this was it.

Natsu's P.O.V

I stretched my arms as I impatiently waited for the girl to arrive. Sex usually took my mind off things so it was just what I needed. The door bell rung and I answered to find a very slim brunette with a bright smile on her face.

"Okay come in," I spoke directly, "..time to get this over with." I said under my breathe. We both waked up the stairs and made our way towards my room. Immediately as I shut the door I began to talk her clothes off very unruly. I was going to go rough on her tonight.

Lucy's P.O.V

I finally arrived at the Dragneel's and I begun to stare out the window of the car. I took a deep breathe as I opened the door and locked the vehicle. Each step I took closer, I grew more and more nervous. Eventually I reached the front door and I knocked very gently, almost hoping no one would answer.

After a few minutes I decided to give up and I turned around relived. However, just as I took my first step, the front door opened to revel Lalida, the head maid.

"Mrs Heartfilia!" Welcome!" She spoke prominently then bowed.

"Lalida! Hello!" I replied. I couldn't deny that it felt great to see her. I almost forgot the reason why I even came in the first place.

"What brings you here?" She asked.

"Oh! I'm actually here to see Natsu" I spoke vaguely.

"I see, shall I lead you to him?" She asked.

"No thank you, I got this from here. I'm only gonna be a few moments." I bowed my head and begun making my way upstairs.

I didn't feel as nervous after my encounter with Lalida. She calmed me down in a way. Now I was confident, almost anxious to approach Natsu again.

I finally reached the door to his room when I heard a slight pound noise coming from inside.

That's strange...I thought. I decided to knock on the door however no one answered. Now I was getting frustrated. Was he purposely trying to ignore me? What the heck?!

"Natsu--you!" I screamed but was cut off when I observed the scene in front of me. I witnessed a naked Natsu under the sheets with another naked girl. Both Natsu and the girl stopped and began to stare at me in awe.

"Lucy? What are you doing here?"

I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I wanted to leave as soon as possible yet my legs felt numb. I was stuck. I blinked several times trying to make myself believe that this was all in my head. Meanwhile, Natsu grabbed a piece of clothing and began to walk closer to me.

I didn't have any idea as to what he was going to say and I couldn't read his expression ether, however, he was getting closer and closer to me. Just as he was a few feet away, I legs finally began to listen and I took off. I sprinted through the house not paying a single attention to where I was going.

Room by room, I continued running. Eventually after minutes, I stopped to catch a breathe. It also wasn't till now that the tears finally started to kick in. I fell to my knees exhausted from just about everything.

However, just as I thought I was safe, I heard a noise coming from the end of the hall I was in. I immediately begun to sprint again and grabbed the door knob to the first room I came across. Just as I opened it, still looking behind me, I bumped into someone.

Natsu...

"Let me go!" I screamed. He grabbed on my body refusing to let me go.

I continued squirming and punching him but he acted as if I was doing nothing to him. He only kept trying to calm me.

"Shhhh," he whispered, It's going to be okay."

Well guys, what do you think? Thought I would never update again? HA! No, but I'm just kidding, you guys are honestly amazing. I'm so sorry it's taken me literally forever to upload this. Like I hate myself for it. If you guys have still stuck to this then you are probably the best people ever. I promise it's not going to take this long anymore, I had to go back from the beginning and basically redo the story to make it progress a bit slower because I just wasn't happy with it. So it was sort of a clusterfuck at a lot of points and I'm sorry if you read it while I was editing and it ended up making no sense at a new point. Also if you haven't read it in a while, I strongly suggest rereading it! (I won't force you to tho ;) ) But anyways....THANK YOU GUY! <3 I love you and stay tuned for the next chapter! :D
