Chapter Nine-

Lucy's P.O.V

"Lu-chan!" Levy screamed as she launched herself on top of me. I quickly let Levy in and guided her to the living room where she caught sight of Natsu.

"Hmm, so this is the one I've been hearing about" she spoke faintly but loud enough so that I could hear.

She quickly sashayed over to Natsu and stopped in front of him. She started to intensely look at him up and down, examining. She then turned over at me as if she was a doctor about to tell me the results for an examination I had been waiting months for.

I was waiting, eager to hear what she would think of him, while Natsu held a confused expression on his face. Levy walked toward me and whispered in my ear,

"He's soo cuuute Lu-chan!"

I giggled with discomfort while Natsu scoffed at the thought of not being able to hear us. Levy and I decided to go to a more private place in order to continue our chat. As we finally made our way to my room, Levy leaped on top of my bed.

"So Levy-chan, what are you doing here? How did you know about my marriage?" I asked curious.

"Your father sent me to check up on you. Oh! And he told me about what you did and he still feels bad about it and wants to make it up to you. So he wanted me to come over to make sure you don't wallow in your lonesome!" Levy said chuckling.

I laughed at the thought of how grateful I was that she was here. I looked at Levy and she gave me a serious look.

"Do you want to marry him?" she said, softly. It occurred to me then, nobody had ever even bothered to ask me what I wanted. Levy being here was a blessing and I felt really thankful for having such an amazing friend.

"Why are you crying?!" Levy asked, astonished. Without warning I jumped up and wrapped my arms around her. She seemed surprised and confused at first but finally wrapped her arms around me as well.

"Your..such..an..ama-zing f-friend.. Levy!" I spoke between my sobs.

Levy joined in my tearful moment and we both began balling our eyes out until Natsu walked in the room, giving us a disgusted look. Soon after however, he spoke up.

"Lucy, I need to have a moment with you alone. Levy and I both turned to look over to each other. She motioned me the "go ahead" and started backing up out of the room. I looked up at Natsu and called him childish after Levy had left the room.

"You can't let me enjoy some time with my best friend for even five minutes?!"

"Excuse me Miss Heartfilia, I believe you're forgetting what you're here for."

My eyes began to water. I felt so angry at him, he wouldn't even let me spend time with my own best friend.

"So, are you here to tell me I have to have her  leave then?"

Natsu's P.O.V

I certainly couldn't deny how cute she was with a look on her face saying she wanted to kill me. Despite my remark about her friend though, it wasn't the reason I had come.

"Actually no" I spoke, "My father gave me these two concert tickets and absolutely insisted that we go. But, since I can't stand the sight of you, I'm giving them to you and your little friend. Well, have fun. I have other things to attend to."

I walked out the room leaving Lucy staggered. Too bad, only half of what I said was the truth. For one, my father didn't buy the tickets, I did. And two, there was no way I was gonna miss out on a chance to see my favorite band, but since the blonde hasn't been a complete pain in my ass, I might as well treat her with something nice. Besides, maybe later tonight, she can repay and treat me too.
