Tuareg man and woman from Northern Africa. The Tuareg tribe is one of the world's last matriarchs, which means, the women are the head of their society. The people of the Tuareg tribe follow a strange sect of Islam, influenced by old tribal traditions, where women were created first and do not veil and the men wear niqab like turbans, traditionally blue, to avoid breathing in evil spirits. They are sometimes called "the blue people of Africa" because the men wear their scarves so much that it begins to dye their skin blue.
