Tonight was the night, this was the night I would play the music, the music I had written for her, the music that came from my very soul, the lyrics from the centre of my heart.

The guys had been pushing me to realise the album and sing the songs, they believed it had hit written all over it, me I now knew it was the right time to lay our story on the line for her, for Taz, I owed her that much at least.

A packed Wembley stadium was in for a treat as a group we were wound up tight, I was praying Taz would be here, I wanted her here so much that I was in physical pain and when Donald my bodyguard informed me Taz and her parents had infact arrived, I couldn't wait to get on the stage.

When the support band Delusional came off to mediocre applause, we gave them high fives and thanked them and waited with nervous excitement to get started.

We went though our individual pre-concert routines and fidgeted restlessly waiting for the green light.

"Ladies and gentlemen" boomed the voice of the announcer.

Danny slipped around the back to get in position to start with a drum solo, and Andy, William and Roger got ready in their positions the adrenaline building just like an athlete waiting for that starting pistol, so you can release the pent up nerves and finally all that practising and rehearsing is put to the public to judge.

Then the word we had been waiting for was yelled out.

"Phenomenon" the drum beat kicked in as the crowd went wild, the dry ice machine spilling an eerie white mist across the darkened stage.

The base guitar of Andy joined in followed by William on the keyboards and finally Roger on lead guitar, the crowd were jumping up and down clapping in unison with the base drum, large multicoloured spotlights started pulsating to the music, sweeping back and forth across the stage and the audience, then it was time!

I rushed onto the stage as a single white spotlight pursued me to the front of the stage, with my adrenaline hitting the heights, I screamed.

"Hello Wembley stadium, the time has come, it feels just right, so let's rock this place"

And on cue the band came together as I started singing an earlier number one 'going down' the feeling of your fingers creating music as they flew over the strings, the crowd singing with you word perfect and everyone unable to stand still was the high that I never wanted to come down from and knowing my girl was out there just pushed my emotions through the roof.

Ending the first set on a slower number, I grabbed the mic and strode to the edge of the stage and beckoned the crowd to quieten down.

Rubbing the sweat from my eyes and pushing my hair back from my face I started to speak.

Sat in the front row of the stands looking almost directly down on to the stage from the left hand side I couldn't help but get caught up in the music and even sang along surprised I knew a lot of their songs, my mother and father sat either side of me.

I don't understand why they would enter a competition to win tickets to a rock concert with the added bonus of back stage passes and why had they insisted we came to this concert as they were not rock fans and would certainly not enjoy this.

Though I was glad in a way because I now had a chance to say what needed to be said, as I was hoping I would beable to speak to Declan and put his mind at rest that I had forgiven him so he could carry on with his life.

Then the whole stadium went quiet as Declan began to speak.

"Wow! Thank you all for being here tonight and supporting me and the guys and of course buying our records"

After the bout of clapping, whistling and cheering died down, Declan continued.

"I would like to now quickly tell you a story about me that has never been heard before"

A buzz of anticipation echoed around the stadium as Declan composed himself.

"Well I met this girl in college"

That solicited a round of ooh's and arr's

"And you see I didn't treat this girl right in fact I treated her horribly and then I left her not knowing how badly I had treated her.
So to cut a long story short, I was a mess on drink and drugs, before I got the advice you have all obviously read about, sing rock and roll and write from the heart.
It wasn't until I sorted myself out that I realised that I loved this girl and had since I first met her and she alone is responsible for me being where I am now, she was my inspiration, my muse and is and always will be my only true love.
But as I have told you I screwed up big style and I need to win her back and I'm willing to wait forever to do it.
However in the meantime I would like to play you some tracks from our new album that's all about the love of my life, the album is dedicated to her and is called Taz Mania and here are some of the tracks"

And with that the band started to play while Declan head bowed held the mic stand and waited his cue.

I was stunned he can't mean it, he said he loved me, he always had or is it just a ploy to stop me going to the police, but if that was the case he would be pleading with me, but his confession seemed so heart felt.

I was so confused and I didn't know how I felt at this moment in time, I knew that deep down inside me a tiny piece of my heart still belonged to him, even after what he had done, it was still there waiting and wanting.

The stadium then hushed as the band began to play a slow ballad and when Declan sang, the words hit home.

I was the cause of so much sorrow
I laid her down and slunk away
Because of me she didn't have a tomorrow
The evil in me was there that day

Days turned into weeks my dreams came undone
The beauty that is her is more than skin deep
Until that time she showed me she was the one
She's the girl I see when I wake from my sleep

The one that inspired and drove me on

I watched him sing and I couldn't move I was in awe, I watched as he brushed a tear from his eye, I just knew it wasn't sweat he was singing from the heart, because it was tugging at that little bit of me he owned and I found myself brushing a tear from my eyes as well and when he played the last note he looked in my direction and mouthed I love you.

This made the crowd in our section turn and look around to see if they could figure out who Declan had declared his love for, luckily it was such a large area that no one could pin point the person it was aimed at.

Oh hell! He knew I was here, he knew where I was sitting , surely not, but how?

That was it for me I couldn't hold back the tears anymore as they flowed silently down my cheeks, sure he could have been talking to any of a hundred girls sat near me but I knew it was for me.

Then the band struck up All I want is you and again Declan pointed in my direction and screamed into the mic

"This is the song for Taz"

Now I completely lost it, especially as my dad pulled me into his chest so I could shed my tears unseen.

"There, there Taz, let it all out"

My head shot up and I looked at my dad in shock he just smiled a knowing smile and winked, he knew who Taz was, he knew what Declan had been to me, but did he know what he did to me, I don't think so, thank heavens.
