"Nara?" a low voice asked, startling me momentarily. I glanced behind my shoulder and let out a sigh of relief as I recognized the person's familiar blue eyes and dark hair. The dull streetlamp filtered light onto his face, as he stepped into my line of sight.

"Leon? What're you doing here?" I asked him, my voice raspy from the tears that I had been holding back. Although I hadn't betrayed my weakness to Britney, her words had cut through me painfully, resurfacing the same panic I had felt as our car had collided into the subjugating tree. I hastily wiped the dried tears away from my face before facing him.

"Derek said you were asking around about me. What do you need?" he smirked, his eyes shining in anticipation.

"Nothing. Uh, sorry, I changed my mind," I stuttered, pursing my lips into a thin line.

"What did you change your mind about?" he pressed, his smirk spreading across his lips in an uncomfortable way.

"I wanted you to make me bad."
