Chapter 2

"The best way of keeping a secret is to pretend there isn't one." - Margaret Atwood.

I decided to put the names of the characters on the pictures. This one so happens to be the king aka Arion's father.

This chapter will be slow. So hang in there and enjoy.

The school looks like a freaking Castle. What is this, Descendants? I stared at the 5 story building with pillars and towers. The building had a dark color scheme, black bricks and windows around the diameter. The outside had so many paths. One path lead to what looks like a field with horses, another path lead to another castle like building. It was so beautiful, like it came out of one of the books I read.

When the car came to a park in the parking lot, I got out. The driver nodded and I smiled at him. He doesn't say much, but he is so sweet. I look around the parking lot that kind of ruined the mood of this castle like school. So many shiny cars. Ugh, rich people. I shouldn't talk though.

I followed the same example as the rest of the student, and walked up the path to the main doors. I took one look at the stairs before I panicked. I'm not used to walking upstairs with strangers around me. I feel so claustrophobic right now. Maybe I should run to the principle office before the orientation. Great, what I needed, new school anxiety.

I was about to turn a corner in the hall way, to see if there's a door that says it's the principle office, but I got knocked over be a strong force. I blinked as I sat on my butt. The hell? I looked up to see bright blue eyes staring right into mine. My eyes widen in realization I met him before.

"Maria?" he asked as he held a hand out to help me get up.

"No, my name is Maya. Have we met?" I stared at him. He was pretty tanned and had a square jaw and longish eyelashes. His chocolate brown hair swept across his face in a bad boy way. I had to blink twice to stop staring at it.

"If your name is Maya, then I think not." He sounds slightly confused and a little disappointed. He looked at me closely, from where I was standing; I can tell he's starting to grow a beard. How old was he?

"The name's Isaac. I'm a warlock." He held out his hand again. I smiled and shook it. My first friendly encounter at a school.

"I'm Maya, as you know by now, and I don't know what the hell I am." He laughed. Glad to know I can amuse people. I looked at the time on my watch. I need to hurry and find the principle office before 8:18.

"Uh, can you help me find my way around?" he smile and nodded.

"Sure, where you need to go?"

"The principle office." Isaac face brightens up a bit more. I'm confused. Is the principle some hot lady of something, a friend, a family member?

"Go through this hall, take a left, it's the first door on the right. Well I should be going. Don't want to be in the back with lots of people in the auditorium." He smiled and walked away, what a nice guy. I followed his directions to the principle office, after bumping into a few students on accident. One hissed at me.

I knocked on the door when I finally got to it. I heard a "come in" from the inside. It was a male voice. I walked in. The room was decorated with many land scape drawings and pictures of a family. One caught my eye. In the picture, I recognized the boy with white hair from my dream this morning. Next to him was a smiling girl who looks so familiar.
