Tiara excitedly rushed through the hallways of her high school on Monday morning, anxiously making her way to Kendra's locker. She spotted Brandon with a group of friends ahead of her, and slowed down in order to contemplate whether she should walk right past him, or turn around. Trying not to be the insecure girl she was before, she lifted her head up high and began to walk straight pass him.

"Aye, T!" Brandon called when he noticed she wasn't coming over to him. Tiara kept walking. "Tiara!" No response. He began to walk after her. "Tiara," he said grabbing her hand.

Tiara turned around and snatched her hand away. "What do you want?" she spat.

"What? We're suddenly not cool anymore?" Brandon asked confused.

Tiara narrowed her eyes. "Why don't you ask that little white hoe you were kissing the other day how cool we are." And she started to turn but Brandon grabbed her shoulder.

"T, wait," Brandon sighed. "I know what that looked like, but I completely regret it. That was a huge mistake."

Tiara feared to ask this question because she thought she was going to end up accepting his stupid made-up-on-the-spot apology, but she had to. "Then why'd you do it?"

"I-I don't know. I was stupid, I was a dick. Look, T I'm really sorry. Please forgive me."

Tiara stared at the ground. "Please," she said softly, "you just wanna get in my pants."

"Is that what you really think?" Brandon asked. "That I just want you for sex?"

Tiara nodded.

"Well I don't! Tiara, I really like you. A lot-"

"-Why?" Tiara asked looking up into his eyes.

"You're funny, and cute. And you're probably one of the smartest girls I know," Brandon replied. Tiara couldn't help but smile but immediately dropped it as soon as she realized it. Brandon took his hand and pushed Tiara's curls behind her ear. "I really like your hair by the way," he said. "You look beautiful."

Tiara was actually falling for everything Brandon was saying, but soon came to her senses and snapped back to reality. "Whatever," she said, and turned and continued on to Kendra's locker.

Tiara couldn't help but wonder if Brandon was genuine or not. It was true that he's never shown any signs of wanting her for sex, so could he really like this girl? Tiara didn't know what to think. She was getting mixed signals from this boy and it was starting to get aggravating. But she shook those thoughts out of her head as she turned the corner and came to Kendra's locker.

"Kendra!" Tiara screeched.

Kendra looked to find the caller of her name. "Oh my gosh!" she exclaimed when she spotted Tiara. "You look gorgeous!" She said once Tiara approached her.

Tiara was wearing a low cut, mid-thigh, short-sleeved dress. It was white on the top half where black letters and words were imprinted every which way, and black on the bottom half which started below the waist. Her hair was in long thick curls (not too tight and not too loose), and she walked in white Toms. Around her neck was a white necklace, tripled over, and a thick, black bracelet was on her right arm. Tiara walked in confidence that day because she knew she was on point that day!

"Thanks, thanks," Tiara said flipping her curls in a playful way.

"How did this happen?" Kendra asked eagerly. She leaned in closer to Tiara, "Did your mom get a new job?"

"I really don't know. But if she did she needs to stay there!" They laughed. "But yeah, she took me and my little sister out shopping."

"Without me?!" Kendra playfully asked.
