CELESTE BAREBONE HAS ALWAYS had a deep hatred towards Mary Lou Barebone. On many occasions she's caught the adoptive mother abusing her younger brother, Credence. This would cause Celeste to pull her brother away from the mad women and take the abuse for him.
After the death of their mother, Celeste promised to take care of Credence. She's always loved her younger brother dearly. Celeste would often hold her brother when he was sleeping after he would wake up to a nightmare, which was almost every night.
She's always promised him that she'd take him away, but never had enough money for that. Being a baker doesn't pay that well in New York.
For Celeste, growing up in a Anti-Magic household made her angry, and her hatred for Mary Lou would grow. She didn't understand why you would hate on such an amazing talent. But Mary Lou would continue on the protests, forcing Celeste and Credence to come with her.
Celeste has always wanted the best for her baby brother. From giving him her blankets on cold nights to letting him sneak out when he needed to. She would always take the blame when Credence would come home late, causing punishments for the two from Mary Lou herself.
Now Celeste has never met a witch or wizard, at least she didn't think she has. But she has always wanted to. The closest she's gotten to one was Mary Lou.
From the speeches Mary Lou gave, against magic, caused Celeste to be interested in it. It was probably because she just wanted to piss the women off, but she would reading stories or do her own research about wizards and witches.
Never in her life would Celeste expect to meet one until she saw a man, with a blue coat and a large suitcase, run inside of a bank Mary Lou was giving a speech at.

I'm so fucking excited for this. And yes, the main character is a no-maj/muggle who is the older sister of my baby Credence.
