[A.N: IM OUT OF SCHOOL HALLE-FUCKING-LUJAH]

"YOU'RE WHAT?!" Alya exclaimed loudly, shooting up from her seat faster than a bullet but Marinette quickly pulled her back down and sent apologetic looks at everyone looking at them due to Alya's outburst. Alya grunted indignantly and crossed her arms with a huff.

"When was this planned?!" Marinette shot a thankful smile at Alya keeping her tone down but Alya didn't budge from Marinette's big blue eyes, instead glaring slightly harder.

"Yesterday..." Marinette mentally chastised herself for mumbling but a part of her was hopeful that Alya didn't catch that. Of course, knowing her luck, Alya did hear it and looked more outrage than mere seconds before.

"So you're telling me that my best friend is going to China for who knows how long and it was decided yesterday?" She gritted out, low and demanding. The bluenette looked down to the two boys sitting in front of them, sending pleading looks for help. Nino's features scrunched up in confusion and Adrien simply motioned his hands for Marinette to continue and sent her a supportive smile which warmed her instantly and gave her the confidence to talk back to Alya.

"My parents told me I have important things to do in China." She said back defensively. Marinette blew a stray hair away from her face and was just about to talk over Alya as the brunette opened her mouth again when Nino, thankfully, intervened by him leaning over the girl's desk with a hand covering Alya's face. She squawked at the sudden coverage and tried to bat away Nino's hand but he simply gave her a cheeky grin.

"Uh Alya you can't really blame her for not telling you when she got the news yesterday. Dudette was probably thinking over the situation yesterday." Nino glanced over to Marinette with his eyes shining with curiousity but he didn't ask her any questions about the matter at hand. Alya huffed and leaned back on her seat scowling and Nino looked satisfied at Alya's acceptance of the matter, returning back to his seat. Marinette exhaled a sigh of relief and gave an apologetic smile when Alya looked at her again.

"Ah how could I stay mad at that face?" Alya drawled and pinched Marinette's cheeks, both falling into giggles and the tension dissolved between the best friends. Adrien grinned at Nino, knowing that he did a good job of avoiding further conflict, giving him a fist bump and the four fell back into easy conversations until the bell rang to signify class starting.

"Girl take me with you to China! I don't want to be in school!" Alya collapsed dramatically over her desk as soon as the final bell rang, leaving everybody free to do whatever they planned after the school day. It was a good day, for once Marinette didn't have to put up with Chloe's crap, said blonde also heading out of the classroom without so much as a glance towards their group. Instead, she seemed to be deep in conversation with Sabrina today who was usually silent whenever Chloe talked. It made Marinette's lips perk upwards at the thought that Chloe might be trying to be a better friend to Sabrina.

Hearing Nino groan snapped the bluenette out of her thoughts, making her resume her actions of packing up her school supplies.

"Dude same." Nino drawled out as he leaned heavily on Adrien, causing the poor blonde to fall out of his seat with a yelp. Alya and Nino bursted into full-blown laughter while Marinette struggled to keep her giggles to herself at her friend's antics and proceeded to pack her stuff up along with Alya's. Alya, meanwhile, stopped laughing and continued to whine about how she couldn't do school anymore and would rather pursue her passion of journalism.

"Alya you need school to get into journalism." Adrien piped up, still casually sitting on the ground. Alya rolled her eyes and responded with an annoyed groan.
