Chris's POV:

She was holding something back.

"Whose is it?" I asked once again.

She sighed in defeat,"My friend's. They asked if they could keep it here over night and part of the morning."

I studied her face, looking for any sign of dishonesty. Her eyes repeatedly traveled to the floor, and I knew she was lying.

"Can you look me in the eyes and tell me that?" I raised an eyebrow, questioning her.

"I could, but I don't have to, considering I'm not lying." Her eyes were focusing on mine.

"Would you mind doing it?"

She scoffed,"Sure, I'll do it."

She took a few steps closer to me, until her breasts were touching my chest.

"The car is my friend's. They asked if they could keep it here over night and part of the morning." She kept complete eye contact.

"Thank you," I smirked.

"Whatever Chris. I get you have to test me just to trust me, but I don't feel like dealing with you right now, so please, leave." She gestured her hand towards the door.

"I just wanted to check on you." I spoke sincerely.

"Why?" She seemed to find it hard to believe that I care.

"After the argument we had earlier, you looked pretty pissed. I just wanted to make sure you're ok." I explained.

"Already had someone take care of that problem," She whispered something to herself, but I couldn't decipher it.

"Anyway, I'll leave." I walked out of the door.

She nodded and closed it.

Once again, I traveled down the short walkway to my car and hopped in. I took out my keys from my black jeans and turned on the car. I was about to pull out of the driveway, when my phone buzzed.

I grabbed my phone from my back pocket and checked the message. It was from Erik.

erik: party tonight at william's.

me: I'll be there.

I placed my phone in the cup holder and drove off.

Eva's POV:

After Chris left, I rushed outside to see if Cole was still there.

"Cole?" I looked around the driveway.

"Here, I'm here," He came out from behind his car,"and by the way party tonight at William's. Be there." He winked at me. He hopped in his car and backed out of my driveway.

I took out my phone and texted the girls about the party.

Chris's POV:

I arrived at the front of William's door and knocked.

"Come in!" William yelled out.

I walked in and saw William making a sandwich. He turned his attention towards me, "Came for the party?"

"Hell yeah," I grinned.

William's phone buzzed. He looked over at the bright screen, then looked at me.

"Whats up?" I asked.

"It's one of the guys. Apparently, Eva hooked up with Cole last night." He held up his phone, showing me the text.

I shrugged,"Ok? What does that have to do with me?"

"I just thought you liked Eva," William held a confused expression.

My eyes found their way to the floor,"No, I uh don't." I scoffed,"I mean have you ever seen me have feelings for someone?"

He shook his head, "I guess not."

I just thought you liked Eva. I analyzed his words over and over.

"I'll be back, I have to go take care of a few things."

I drove my car to Eva's house once again today, and I knocked on the long wooden frame. The door swung open, and a surprised Eva stood in the doorway.

"Uh hey?" She paused,"You were just here, and I kindly asked you to leave. If you've come back just to piss me off you can save-"

I closed the space between us. Now I was only a few inches away from her face as I gently pushed her hair behind her ear. Her breath hitched as I placed a kiss on her lips. She hesitated, then gave in, letting her heart control her. We both pulled back and struggled to keep an emotionless expression on our faces, but our eyes held our true emotions. For the first time, I didn't try and hold back from what I wanted.

"Why did you do that?" Her voice held a whisper.

"I just wanted to know." My wall was slowly beginning to fall, and I was truly afraid.

"Know?" She tilted her head.

"Know if I was gaining feelings." We were so engrossed in the moment that we didn't notice our hands intertwining.

"And?" She looked up at me.

"Apparently, guys like me can have feelings." A small smile, a genuine smile, one that I haven't worn in a long time, tattooed my face.

Her face wore the same look, and she wrapped her arms around my neck.

I changed the subject, so I could have time to place my thoughts in order,"So the party, are you coming?" I held her small frame with my arms.

"Hm.." She teased,"I don't know," running her fingers along my chest.

I grinned then remembered the real reason why I came here.

"Not to bring down the mood, but I know you slept with Cole and that was his car. I'm not mad...at you at least." Her face changed drastically at my words.

"I'm sorry, it's a long story," She let out a groan.

I nodded,"Anyway sorry to cut this short, but I have to help William out and buy some drinks."

"See you then," She closes the door.

What the hell did I just do?

I hurriedly got in my car and turned on the ignition. I felt out of place with these foreign feelings churning inside.

On my way to the liquor store, a surprisingly long red light stopped me. The light changed from dark red to bright green a couple of minutes later, and I pressed on the gas. I heard a booming horn in my ear and looked to the side.

I felt the warm blood trickle down the side of my face, and there was an incessant ringing in my ears. My body was unable to move, everything was just big, black nothing.
