Jimmy was a candidate, as young as he was he was very eager to learn and improve himself. He did as he was told and stayed out of the way following the orders given to him. He was 24, tall, muscular and obviously handsome. Nobody could deny that.
Chilli was different, she did her job but wasn't the best as taking orders. She was used to getting what she wanted, since she was the younger child in her family. She had brown curly hair, brown eyes and was just stunning.
Lately her newest conquest was none other than the newest candidate. Since he walked into firehouse 51 she wanted him, and with god as her witness she was going to have him.
Walking into the firehouse Chilli tied her curly hair up into a ponytail before going towards the fridge where Jimmy was, "Hey candidate" she smiled grabbing an apple "you like it here so far?" she wondered.
Jimmy had been on the job for almost one week now and he had nothing bad to say about the place, they worked together, all got along and he could trust them. There isn't much more you could ask for as a fire-fighter.
"Yeh..I like it here" he said taking an apple of his own, before Chilli had time to say anything else the alarm went off. "Firehouse 51 and ambulance 61 report to Evergreen Avenue"
They both put down their apples and hurried to get ready, Jimmy entered the truck the same time Chilli opened the door to the ambulance. Jimmy put his hard hat on once inside the truck. "Get ready kid, your first real fire" Herman said to the younger.
Stopping at Evergreen Avenue they immediately noticed the flaming building, they all stepped out. Jimmy awaited for the orders from lieutenant Casey. Speaking of which Casey put his own hat on before he began placing orders.
"Borelli, Herman and Otis follow me; we'll look for any people inside! Mouch and Kidd you two put out the fire around the back, it's small you two can handle it" Kidd and Mouch nodded before gathering the fire extinguishers and finding the smaller controlled fire besides the building.
Jimmy braced himself before entering the building behind Lieutenant Casey. Herman and Otis were behind Jimmy. Casey led them through the building, finding their way through the smoke was proving to be difficult "Okay men, put your masks on now" Casey ordered as they slipped their masks on to prevent the smoke from going into their lungs.
"Call out!" Casey yelled "If you need help call out!" pausing to hear any signs of a call for help, a muffled cry calls out in the distance. "Let's go men!" Casey orders as they follow the voice.
"My daughter! She's in there!" the male yelled "Hello sir I'm Lieutenant Casey my men and I are going to get you out, we will find your daughter okay? Otis take him out go!" he picks up the man and passes him to Otis who compiles and takes him out of the building.
"Anybody here!" Casey called out as they walked further into the building. "Help!" a feminine voice called out. "Come on let's go!' Casey said as Jimmy and Herman followed their Lieutenant.
They found the female who called out; she had a friend whose shoulder was covered in blood. "Hi I'm Lieutenant Casey, what happened to your friend?" he asked calmly. The girl became frantic "wood a-a piece of wood f-fell on her and it hit her shoulder...I-I pulled it off a-and tried to stop the bleeding with my jacket but I-I don't know! Is she going to be o-okay?"
