~Chapter 2: tree trunks~

(Your pov)
We had been walking for a while now, and soon we reached the clearing where tree trunk's cottage was. I ran up to the door and lightly knocked on it. There was some rustling behind the door before it opened, revealing tree trunks in a little apron.
"(Y/N)! Finn!" She said happily. "Your early. The pies are still in the oven." She said as she lead as she lead us inside.
The whole cottage smelt like warn apple pie. I closed my eyes, basking in the sweet smell.
(Third person pov)
Tree trunks trotted to the little oven and pulled out four hot apple pies and placed them on the counter.
"Oh my." Tree trunks said softly.
(Y/N) blinked in confusion. "What's the matter T trunks?" You said as you knelt down to her level.
"I left my picnic basket out side." She said as she looked towards the door.
"Why do you need that?" Finn asked.
Tree trunks giggled "well you can't walk all the way back to the candy kingdom with the pies. They're piping hot."
Finn nodded, realizing that she was right.
(Y/N) came back with the picnic basket. She placed it on the table and helped tree trunks put the pies in it.
You tried to lift the basket, only to find out how heavy it was. "Wow tree trunks. What's in those pies? Bricks?" Tree trunks smiled and Finn went to go and help you.
"Finn I got this." You said as you managed to pick up the basket and walk out.
"See you later!" You and Finn yelled as he closed the door behind him.
You to has started out into the forest. You were struggling to keep you grip on the basket and not drop it. You suddenly felt some one grip your hand and the basket got lighter. You look at the hand, which belonged to finn.
"F-finn?" You said, a faint blush dusting your cheeks as you realized that you were technically holding hands with him.
"I...I saw that you were having trouble so I decided to help you." He said with a smile.
You nodded and you both headed to the candy kingdom.
