Chapter Forty Five - "Clichés Are Overrated, Avery."
___Avery's P.O.V
A week has passed ever since I went to Claire's. Today is the showcase and I feel all the nerves in my body start to rise, making me feel nauseous.
That day when I went to Claire's, all we did was watch movies and play music. Since I slept over for the whole weekend, I didn't get to see Logan at all. Even though it killed me, I got passed it when he gave me a call on Sunday. We talked for about four hours and those four hours made my week come to an amazing end even though it started terribly.
"I wish you the best of luck, sunshine." Logan says into my ear as we walk into the gymnasium and I chuckle, placing a small kiss on his cheek.
"Thank you." I mumble and he walks off to his seat while I walk off backstage to get ready. I walk down the narrow hallway and walk into the room that had a piece of paper on the door reading 'cheerleaders practice'. I look around the room to see that it is actually pretty big for us to practice before it is time for us to go on so that's a pretty good advantage.
"Avery!" I hear Claire squeal as she runs up to me. I smile and hug her tightly before letting go off her.
"You ready?" Claire asks and I nod, a small smile on my lips.
"Of course."
"Okay girls, we have half an hour before we have to go on stage so use this time carefully. Remember to have fun, okay?" The coach says and we all nod. I notice Katie sitting on the metal bench with a bandage around her ankle.
"Are you dancing tonight?" I ask, walking towards her. Katie nods and I cross my arms over my chest.
"You should know that the coach loved me being head cheerleader for the past week. She said that she will even consider changing our roles." I smirk at Katie and she just grins at me, an evil glint in her eyes.
"By the end of the night, I assure you that you wouldn't even want to be here when you hear my small speech." Katie says and I roll my eyes before muttering 'whatever', walking away from Katie.
She is just trying to get in your head, my brain reminds me and I mentally nod.
Sadly for her, it isn't working.

"Next up, we have our own cheerleading team performing for us tonight. Before they come on stage though, the coach has a few words for us." I hear the principle say the coach appears on the stage, her heals clicking against the wood as she makes her way to the podium.
"Hello students, teachers and family members. Tonight, as you've already heard, my cheerleading team is going to perform multiple dances tonight for you all. I hope you all enjoy this performance and feel free to get your phones and cameras out if you would wish to record your friends or children. First up, we have Emily, Danielle, Katherine and Laura dancing to Turn Me On by David Guetta. Enjoy!" The coach says before walking off the stage. The audience claps and the song starts to play, making the girls walk off into the spotlight.
After many dips, turns, hair flips and many more dance moves, the four girls were finally finished and making the crowd whistle, clap and shout out words that were slightly inappropriate but hilarious.
