Waking up in AoT

Chapter 26 version 1

I ran and flew over buildings looking for Marco. I finally found him walking in on Reiner and Bertl as they talked about their plans to destroy Wall Rose and how much of a pain it was that Eren was going to ruin their plan by patching the wall.

I reached out to tackle Marco so he wouldn't say anything, but it was too late.

"What was that about kicking down the wall?"

The two looked between Marco and each other in horror. Crap. Now what?

I decided to stay behind a pillar and let them talk so I could save him when the timing was right.

"Look, Marco. We don't want to do this, but give us your gear," Reiner said with authority.

"What, why? Are you two- Eren can turn into a titan. Humans can turn into titans. You were talking about breaking down the wall. You two are titan shifters!!"

"I'm sorry Marco, but we can't let anyone find out about that. Now give us your gear so we can throw you into the mouth of the titan like [f/n] did with Eren.

"I don't suppose you're expecting me to survive like him though, do you," he said backing away; directly into Annie. She held Marco tight as Bertl removed the gear from Marco's waist.

"Can't we negotiate this?!" Marco begged, tears running down his freckled face.

Aaaaaand now!

I let out a manly battle cry and tackled Bertl to the rooftop, holding a blade to his throat. I knew both Annie and Reiner had feelings for him, so he was the best target.

"Let the man talk, or else your lover gets it," I said, moving the blade closer to his throat.

"[f/n]?! What are you doing here?" Marco exclaimed.

"Saving your life. Now let him plead for his life at least. If you kill him, I'll kill this piece of garbage," I said, pointing at Bertoldt.

"What do you know about us?" questioned Annie suspiciously.

"Enough to want to kill you all. As nice as you seem, you're all monsters. You have killed so many people and now want to take the life of this innocent man who just happens to stumble across your secret? Go ahead. But I promise you the guilt will last forever. And I will gedt my revenge."

"Okay, here's the deal. Neither of you tell anyone about this; forget it ever happened. We will spare your lives."

"... I don't trust you."

"Here," Annie said, releasing Marco.

"Okay, deal," I said as I released Bertl. A line of blood drawn across his neck.

I ran over to Marco and hugged him, reassuring him that it was all going to be okay.

The trio ran away.

"T-thank you [f/n], you're my hero. You saved my life..."

"Yep. Now in return, can we talk for a moment about Jean?"
