Naruto

Christmas music was blaring through the house, accompanied by the sounds of friendly chatter and clinking glasses. You carefully made your way through the crowds of people, trying unsuccessfully to find your boyfriend.

Sakura had thrown a huge Christmas party this year, and it looked like she invited the entire village to attend it. But, there was free food and an endless supply of eggnog so you decided it might be worth going to.

Now, though, you were ready to leave, and your whisker-faced boyfriend was nowhere to be found. Pushing aside a couple of teens (that were too busy sucking face to notice they were standing in the middle of freaking the hall) you ducked outside, hoping to find him taking a break in the backyard.

But, of course, you had the worst luck in the world, and the backyard was just as empty as your hopes in finding Naruto. As you sighed, a stream of fog escaped your lips, swirling in the cool night air before dispersing into nothing.

The cold, empty air outside was a nice change from the hot, cramped atmosphere within the house, so you decided to enjoy it while you could.

Sakura had decorated her back patio with an assortment of paper lanterns and ribbon, and with the snow slowly filtering down it gave the impression of being almost fantastical. A smile found its way onto your face, and you were so caught up in admiring the lights that you failed to notice the opening and closing of the door behind you.

"There you are!" Warm arms found their way around your waist, and you nestled into them. "I've been looking for you," Naruto nuzzled his face in the crook of your neck. "Sakura really outdid herself this year, ne?"

You snorted. "That's a bit of an understatement, don't you think?" Naruto chuckled before he turned you around to face him.

"Well, there is one good thing about this party." A small grin began to form on his lips. You quirked your brow in suspicion. "Look up." You did as he said and noticed that, hanging right above you, was a mistletoe. You looked back at Naruto and blushed.

Before you could say anything, his fingers gently grasped your chin and he lowered his head to kiss you. You could faintly taste traces of peppermint on his lips as your arms found their way around his neck.

All too soon, you were interrupted by a chorus of cheers coming from the doorway, where all of your friends had gathered to spy on you lip-locking the Uzumaki. The two of you pulled away with blushes on your face, but in that moment you didn't even care. With Naruto at your side, you felt as though nothing could bring you down.

Sasuke

The streets were bustling with last-minute Christmas shoppers as you made your way to your favorite café.

Tonight was one of the rare evenings in which Sasuke actually accompanied you to the nearby village to stock up on supplies. These nights were always your favorite because, for once, you could actually feel like a couple going out on a date – even if that was anything but what you were doing.

However, with just a little bit of convincing on your part, Sasuke agreed to grab some coffee before heading home. The warmth of the shop was a vast change from the winter blown street, and the scent of ground coffee beans and baked pastries assaulted your nostrils. Ordering a cup of coffee and a slice of cake (with just a green tea for Sasuke) the two of you found a seat in the back corner of the café.

Christmas decorations were draped around the walls, and in the background played the faintest sound of Christmas music. You hummed quietly to yourself, a small smile on your face that did not go unnoticed by the Uchiha.
