- Claire's pov -

Nothing is more terrifying than liking a boy, I repeat, nothing is more terrifying than liking a boy. I've only known Calum for 3 weeks. I mean yeah sure we hang out with each almost every day but being with him is intoxicating.

I'm legit running on fumes when I'm with him. Makes me wonder if the other girls feel the same about their mate.

Not the point though, point is here I am in the living room with Calum sat on the couch next to me and very close to me. Remember when I said I had poor impulse control? THIS IS NOT HELPING.

It was Friday afternoon and we were watching a scary movie, I wasn't the biggest fan of them. Considering how real some of them are. Like ghosts are real a thing I've had conversations with some of them. But Calum here was looking so irresistible that I needed to do something, anything that allowed me to touch him.

So I did the rational thing. Pretended I was scared.

Calum must have thought it was adorable because not even 10 minutes later that he held out his hand and took a hold of mine.

He leaned over and whispered in my ear, "any time your scared you can squeeze my hand. " he said.

It was then that I decided that he was precious.

I smiled greatfully at him. I did squeeze hand at the jump scares but I was very mindful of my superhuman strength. Wouldn't be good if I broke his hand.

Mostly through the movie I thought about how much closer I felt to Calum as well as the other boys. I had easily become fast friends with the others. Bloody hell, they all decided to learn sign language for me.

Their studies were going great if I do say so myself. I still couldn't get my voice out in front of them but I was thankful for them trying to learn sign language, it meant a lot to me.

The horror film ended and Michael put in some comedy werewolf movie that he had rented from Family Video.

The boys were dying of laughter, me and the girls cringed very outwardly at the movie. I still held Calum's hand which was the only bonus from this other than seeing him smile so radiantly.

I mean I shudder at the movie, it was horrible. Number 1, werewolves can not be killed by silver bullets. It's a misconception created by Hollywood movies. Number 2, we aren't savages in the daytime as well. Number 3, okay, yeah they got the mate thing right. Nevermind.

The movie ended and Calum got up from the couch which ultimately meant releasing my hand from his. He walked away presumably to use the bathroom.

Celeste was with Ashton on the other couch and she was cuddled into him sharing a blanket and they had happy smiles on their faces and we're giggling about something that had happened in the movie.

I'll admit there was a few funny bits.

Anathia and Luke were on the floor, shoulder to shoulder talking between themselves.

Ruby and Michael were sat next to each other on the floor as well on their phones obviously on snapchat from the weird faces they were making.
