I figured I would start with the basics and since people have actually asked me this before, I thought I should answer the question. In addition, this library specializes in boyxboy, thus the meaning should be clear. I came up with this definition for boyxboy a while ago:
"Regardless of genre a large portion of fictional literature contains an element of intimacy between characters. boyxboy means that the predominant male characters in the story prefer intimacy with another male. However, the focus of the story may not be Romance."
