Voyage of the Fairy Tail

{1} Lucy Heartfillia

The sun shown over the blue seas in the hot afternoon. Even from under the water the sun's warmth could be felt.

I swam through the water. My tail moved back and forth in a majestic rhythm helping me swim.

The scales on my tail were a golden yellow, much like my hair. And exactly like my mother, Layla.

They shone as the sun rays touched them, they glowed in a way.

I sighed.

I would have to get back to my  Kingdom. My father would be irritated if I were late for my  lessons, I was really tired of taking them however.

But I swam back until I could see the view of the Kingdom. The Heartfillia Kingdom, my father was the King of the Merpeople. And I was the Crowned Princess.

"Princess!" A guard swam to my side, "You know your not suppose to be out of Kingdom grounds without a guard, your father will not be happy you know."

He escorted me back to the Castle. We took a short cut to bypass all the people. When we were near the coral garden he stopped, "Princess I understand you long for freedom but it is dangerous to be outside the grounds without someone to protect you."

I nodded, "I know Scorpio but I just want to be away from here every once and a while."

Scorpio sat me on a rock, "I know that too." His red scaled tail moved to keep him afloat, he had just gotten a haircut. Now his red and white hair was really short. Most likely got it cut by Cancer.

"Princess Lucy outside of the boundaries there are rouge Merpeople who despise the Kingdom, monstrous ocean beasts and the Humans. Their fishing tools injure us all the time. We care for your safety."

"That is why we keep telling you this. If something were to happen to you... the Kingdom wouldn't be able to handle it."

I listened throughout his speech I knew all about the dangers outside, but yet I kept going back.

"I understand Scorpio."

He smiled, "I'll keep this to myself, now why don't you go upstairs and have Virgo get you ready for your lessons. My love Aquarius is teaching you today."

Aquarius. She was never in a good mood, this was going to be a long and painful lesson.

I quickly got to my room, Virgo was waiting for me. Her purple tail curled around a rock, "Ah Princess please sit while I do your hair."

My hair had started to come undone from my swim. Virgo ran the coral comb through my long blonde hair. It got stuck a few times from knots but she kept at it until it was smooth, she finished it off by place an ocean red flower in my hair.

"There you go Princess how about you head to the lesson room before your late."

"Thank you Virgo, I gave her a hug and gracefully headed to the room. Aquarius was already there and waiting."

"I'm not late" I said and sat down.

"If I'm here before you it's being late to me!" She shouted. "I checked your room when I got here and Virgo was waiting. So where were you!?"

I shrunk in my seat at being scolded by her, "I was outside the Kingdom by myself." I murmured quietly.

Her hand slammed down on my desk startling me, "Lucy Heartfillia you know your not allowed outside of the Kingdom Grounds without a guard. Nobody is! How many times have we told you this?"

"I was only out for a while before Scorpio brought me back. I'm tired of this Kingdom and all it's rules. I want to explore the world..." I trailed off.

Aquarius's glaze softened for a moment then hardened again, "Don't drag my Scorpio outside the Kingdom for your stupid-ness! Now on with our lesson."

Her blue tail fins twitch with annoyance, "This about the human ships. Their big and float through the water."

I know what they look like I've seen them before, I wanted to say but Aquarius would be more furious with me.

"When you see one the first thing you always do is swim for cover behind a rock is the best place but anywhere you can't be seen. Wait for them to leave. And never revealed yourself to them. That is the number 1 law of the Merpeople."

She looked at me, "Do you understand Lucy?"

"Yes."

Yay first Chapter. So all of Lucy's Celestial Spirits are all merpeople who live in the Kingdom as teachers (Aquarius) Guards, (Scorpio, Taurus, Leo) and maids or servants, (Rest of the spirits.)
