{13} The Dragon Stone is Found

"Your Mer-friends are awesome Lucy" Sting said helping me off the ship as we reached land. Leo and the others had drove the kraken farther from us while keeping it's attention on them.

"Yes they are" I murmured. But I couldn't help wonder, did they plan this or did my father send them to help me? It was anyone's guess.

Gray nudged Natsu, "If we live through whatever else is here, you are taking some swimming lesson's. That's twice now you've almost drowned and been rescued by Mermaids."

Happy nodded, "Seriously Natsu, their not going to be here to save you every time you fall into the water."

I saw him blush with embarrassment, "Fine leave me alone." 

Chuckling I rescued him from the two although Happy followed us asking Natsu to carry him. He sighed and keeled down while Happy climbed onto his back and wrapped his arms around his neck. We waited for the others to come. Everyone but Mira, Lisanna, Elfman and Cana, Meredy and Ultear showed up.

Funny enough Lector had chosen to walk beside Sting but Frosh also wanted to be carried my Rouge. Carla stood by Wendy's side.

"Natsu! Lucy! Are you two hurt anywhere?" She asked worriedly.

I was feeling fine but when we got out of the water Natsu was limping. Although it seemed to stop hurting now since we was walking fine with Happy on his back.

"We're fine Wendy thanks for asking."

"What about your friends in the water?" Jellal asked, "Will they be fine fighting that Kraken?"

I nodded, "They were my teachers and soldiers from my Kingdom, they'll be fine."

Natsu opened his mouth probably to ask about me being a Princess but I shot him a look and he closed his mouth and nodded to me.

"What do we do now?" Lector asked pulling on Sting's shirt.

He looked at Erza for an answer, "We're here to help you so from here you your in charge Erza."

Juvia knelt down and placed her hand in the water.

Gray looked at her, "What do you feel Juvia?"

We watched her silently as she closed her eyes for a minute. She moved her hand in the water then pulled her hand out, "Juvia feels a n extremely powerful source in the water. But the water tells Juvia that the water up ahead is not healthy. Be careful everyone."

Natsu's sword caught fire, "Then I'll lead, everyone stay behind me, you too Lucy."

I blushed a bit.

We went further into the cave soon we couldn't even see the light from the entrance we came in. Everyone had their weapons ready for unsuspecting danger.  Happy had gotten of his back and walked along side me with a fish skeleton as a weapon. Stupid cat-boy, I chuckled.

"Gross what's that smell?" Gajeel complained.

I sniffed the air and nearly gagged, It smelt like decaying bodies and flesh. Natsu put his arm over his nose, "Just block it out. I feel something powerful up ahead."

We continued, covering our noses and soon I could feel a strong force myself. It felt powerful, but terrified at the same time. Nastu grasped my hand and turned around, "Be brave" he mouthed.

Rouge held Frosh tighter and Wendy began to shiver, finally we reached an open passaged where we were met with a blinding white light. I shielded my eyes and waited for them to become accustom with it since we were in the darkness for so long.

Once I was able to I opened them and they widened to the max with awe and astonish. A little pathway led to a giant, jagged, purple, crystal stone. It shone a purple yet eerie glow that radiated from the stone. The tallest tip reached half way to the top of the cave where a hole was so the light could come out from.

"The Dragon Stone" Natsu breathed.

"I can't believe it was actually here" Sting said excitedly.

"It's much bigger than I expected" Jellal muttered.

Erza walked to the front of the stone, "We'll mark it on the map then head back to Magnolia and tell them it's whereabouts."

Lily observed it's size, "We can get paid a lot of money for finding this thing."

Levy sighed, "Good cause the Ship's going to need repairs."

I whipped around to face her, "Was it damaged from the Kraken?"

Gray nodded, "Oh yea, Juvia and I couldn't even steer it into the cove to park it. Your Mer-friends had to push us."

"Oh..." I again would have to thank them.

Natsu had walked up and started examine the Dragon Stone. He paced around it and stopped near the side, "Hey Erza look at this."

Erza ran to his side and pointed at the stone, she jerked up, "Jellal hand us that shard please!"

Jellal walked up and held out the small shard, she took it and I got closer. A tiny part of the stone was missing. And the shard was the exact shape and size. She placed it in it's spot and the stone glowed even more.

"Guys get away from it!" Rouge yelled.

We ran away to our friends side and from the stone appeared five ghostly purple figures. The purple faded and I could clearly see the five people. Four older men and one woman. My eyes widened, jaw dropped and I lost my breath as I recognized one of them.

Game time! Guess who the ghostly figure Lucy recognized is, before the next chapter. :) I don't have a prize though. Sorry. (Bragging rights, you win that)
