"Hey karlie" my bestfriend came up to me , her name is taylor swift and we've been together ever since high school started

"How are you?" SHe asked as she scanned my face for bruises but found nothing . I slapped her hand from my cheek

"Taylor im fine" i rolled my eyes and started walking away from her .

"Im just checking kar" she softly spoke and i smiled at her . "Hes been acting weird lately , do you think something is wrong?" I asked , biting my lower lip

"Karlie you cant be serious right now!" Taylor slapped her forehead looking at me angrily . "Forget it" i shrugged my shoulders and got inside the class

As i walked inside i found him sitting down on his normal seat , his foot knocking on the floor and his eyes deep in thoughts

I gulped as i slowly walked towards him , feeling as if my heart could betray me in any second

"Y-you okay?" I placed my shaky hand on his shoulder , my breath getting snatched away

"Get your hands off me" he whispered angrily .

Anyone who's hurting would say that , but in reality they want someone . And i know zayn wants someone now

"Zay-yn talk to me" i slowly sat down next to him , hoping for once he would look at me as a friend , not a punching bag

"I asked you to leave!" He got.up as he pushed me to the floor

"Why do you always have to fucking annoy me?? Why do you have to fucking exist in my high school?" He slapped my head , making me fall flat to the floor

I hugged myself as i crawled to the corner and started crying . He looked at me for a second then left the classroom

Why me?

He's been like this ever since he and kendall got together . He would.punch my stomach , slap me , and make me bleed and still look at me in the eyes whilst he does . Its like he cant seem to remember that once , i was his everything

I cant really tell you how i felt the first time he ever hit me , it was a big surprise to me .

I ran up to him that morning , just like i used to always do and jumped on his back so he would run in the field with us like that , just like he used to always do

As i jumped he immediately put me down , i thought he was feeling down , i thought he wasnt okay

"Zee you okay?" I placed my palms around his cheeks . At first he seemed about to give in , about to tell me whats wrong .

But instead he took my hands off his face and looked at me angrily . "Zee whats going on? You're acting weird" im worried . Why is he being so cold?

"Stop treating me as if im a little baby karlie" he rolled his eyes . "But you used to like it" i furrowned my eyebrows at him

"I used to . Past is past karlie we're 16" he shook his head . "I thought we promised nothing would change about us no matter how old we are , no matter how far" i said in a disappointed tone

"Karlie shut the fuck up!" He yelled . I lifted my head looking at him with wide eyes

"Its kendall isnt it? She told you to treat me like this" i side smiled .

And then he did the unforgettable , unforgivable thing

He slapped me
